Job summary

Medico Hub in Balrampur, UP, invites MD/DNB General Medicine specialists for a Consultant General Physician role. Manage OPD, IPD and emergency cases in a 300-bed hospital with multidisciplinary support and close physician collaboration.

You will diagnose and treat common chronic and acute conditions, coordinate with specialists, and participate in on-call duties while ensuring NABH-compliant care and patient safety.

Qualifications

• Strong clinical assessment and diagnostic skills.
• Experience in emergency and acute medicine.
• Ability to independently manage OPD and IPD patients.

Responsibilities

• Conduct General Medicine OPD consultations.
• Manage IPD patients with acute and chronic medical conditions.
• Diagnose and treat diabetes, hypertension, infections, respiratory disorders and other medical conditions.
• Manage critically ill and emergency medical cases with timely stabilization.
• Review and interpret laboratory investigations, ECG and other diagnostic reports.
• Develop individualized treatment plans and monitor patient response.
• Conduct regular inpatient rounds and coordinate patient care.
• Provide pre-operative medical evaluation and clearance when required.
• Coordinate with specialists including Cardiologists, Neurologists, Nephrologists, Gastroenterologists, Surgeons and Intensivists.
• Manage medical complications in post-operative and critically ill patients.
• Counsel patients and attendants regarding diagnosis, treatment, lifestyle modification and follow-up.
• Maintain accurate case sheets, prescriptions, progress notes and discharge summaries.
• Participate in emergency/on-call duties as per hospital roster.
• Follow NABH, infection-control, patient-safety and hospital clinical protocols

Experience
