Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Conduct General Medicine OPD consultations and manage IPD patients.
• Diagnose and manage acute and chronic medical conditions.
• Manage diabetes, hypertension, infections and respiratory disorders.
• Attend to emergency medical cases and provide initial stabilization.
• Regular inpatient rounds and monitor treatment response.
• Review labs, ECGs and diagnostic reports.

QUALIFICATION

• MD General Medicine

• Valid NMC / Assam Medical Council Registration

Experience

• Experienced candidates preferred
• Candidates with strong OPD, IPD and emergency medicine experience will be given preference

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct General Medicine OPD consultations and manage IPD patients
• Diagnose and manage acute and chronic medical conditions
• Manage diabetes, hypertension, infections, respiratory disorders and other general medical cases
• Attend to emergency medical cases and provide initial stabilization
• Conduct regular inpatient rounds and monitor treatment response
• Review and interpret laboratory investigations, ECG and other diagnostic reports
• Develop individualized treatment plans and provide follow-up care
• Manage medical complications in post-operative and critically ill patients
• Provide pre-operative medical assessment and clearance when required
• Coordinate with Cardiologists, Neurologists, Nephrologists, Gastroenterologists, Surgeons, Intensivists and other specialists
• Counsel patients and attendants regarding diagnosis, treatment, medication, lifestyle modification and follow-up
• Maintain accurate case sheets, prescriptions, progress notes and discharge summaries
• Participate in emergency/on-call duties as per hospital requirements
• Follow NABH, infection-control, patient-safety and hospital clinical protocols
