The role requires MBBS with MD/DNB in General Medicine and valid NMC/state registration. Multispecialty hospital experience is a plus. Part-time evening hours from 5:00 PM to 9:00 PM in Pallikaranai, Chennai.

Qualifications

• MBBS with MD/DNB in General Medicine is required.
• Valid registration with NMC or State Medical Council is mandatory.
• Experience in a multispecialty hospital is an added advantage.

Responsibilities

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct OPD consultations and evaluate patients with acute and chronic medical conditions.
• Diagnose and manage common medical and lifestyle-related disorders.
• Review laboratory investigations, imaging reports, and other diagnostic findings.
• Develop appropriate treatment plans and provide follow-up care.
• Identify patients requiring specialist referral or inpatient admission and coordinate accordingly.
• Manage medical emergencies within the scope of practice and *escalate* critical cases appropriately.
• Counsel patients and attendants regarding diagnosis, treatment, medication, and lifestyle modifications.
• Coordinate with specialists and other healthcare professionals for comprehensive patient care.
• Maintain accurate patient records and clinical documentation.
• Ensure compliance with hospital policies, NABH standards, infection control, and patient safety protocols.
• Participate in clinical discussions and quality initiatives as required.

Qualifications & Experience

• MBBS with MD / DNB in General Medicine
• Valid NMC / State Medical Council Registration
• Relevant clinical/consultant experience preferred.
• Experience in a multispecialty hospital is an added advantage.
