Job description

General Manager Sales (National Expansion)

Build the National Growth Engine for iLiveConnect

Location: Gurugram

Mandate: Pan India

Reporting to: Senior Leadership

Travel: Extensive pan-India travel

For an accomplished healthcare sales professional who has successfully built territories, teams and distribution networksand now aspires to create something nationally significantthis is an opportunity to take genuine ownership of growth.

iLiveConnect is creating a new model of physician-led continuity of care: connecting patients, physicians, hospitals, wearable technologies and a 247 Clinical Command Centre beyond the traditional boundaries of a hospital or consultation.

The platform has already cared for more than 1,500 patients through this model. We are now preparing for rapid expansion across India, followed by international markets.

We are looking for one exceptional sales leader to help build this journey.

Why This Opportunity Is Different

This is a newly created national-expansion mandate, designed to complement and strengthen the existing sales organisation.

The selected leader will have:
  • Direct access to the founders, clinical leadership and senior decision-makers.
  • Genuine ownership of the national sales and distribution strategy.
  • The opportunity to build and lead a pan-India commercial organisation.
  • The authority to recommend markets, channels, teams and commercial structures.
  • The opportunity to work closely with leading physicians, hospital groups and healthcare institutions.
  • A visible leadership role in building an emerging healthcare category.
  • A clearly defined pathway to broader national and international leadership responsibilities.
  • The opportunity to create substantial professional, financial and societal impact.

This is not simply another position selling an established product line. It is an opportunity to help shape how continuous, physician-led healthcare is delivered at scale.

Compensation and Growth

We recognise that an exceptional mandate requires exceptional talent.

Accordingly:

  • A highly competitive senior-leadership fixed salary will be offered.
  • Compensation will be based on the candidates demonstrated calibre, experience, network and previous achievements.
  • Compensation will not be a constraint for the right candidate.
  • A substantial performance-linked incentive will reward paid subscriptions, recurring revenue, institutional partnerships, productive distribution and collections.
  • Formal performance and career-growth reviews will be conducted at six and twelve months.
  • Strong performance will lead to accelerated compensation growth, expanded authority and wider national or international responsibilities.
  • Long-term incentive or wealth-creation participation may be considered for exceptional performance, subject to company policy and necessary approvals.

We will provide the opportunity, visibility, resources and leadership access required for growth. Progression will be rapid for a leader who consistently creates measurable value.

The Mandate

The General Manager – Sales will build a scalable national sales organisation across:

  • Hospitals and hospital groups
  • Cardiologists, cardiac surgeons and physicians
  • Medical-device distributors and channel partners
  • Corporate and institutional healthcare programmes
  • Government and public-health opportunities
  • Direct and regional sales teams

The person must be capable of personally opening markets, establishing senior relationships, activating distribution partners and building teams before progressively delegating responsibilities.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and execute a phased pan-India expansion strategy.
  • Prioritise states, cities, hospital clusters and clinical specialties.
  • Build an effective combination of direct, institutional and channel-led sales.
  • Identify, appoint and activate high-quality distributors across India.
  • Establish relationships with cardiologists, cardiac surgeons, hospital promoters and senior administrators.
  • Position iLiveConnect as the preferred continuity-of-care platform for cardiovascular, post-discharge and chronic-care patients.
  • Secure partnerships with hospital groups, cardiac centres and healthcare institutions.
  • Recruit, mentor and lead regional managers, state heads and field-sales teams.
  • Establish a culture of ambition, accountability, discipline and ethical healthcare selling.
  • Build a predictable pipeline of paid subscriptions, institutional accounts and recurring revenue.
  • Implement CRM discipline, forecasting and clear performance dashboards.
  • Work closely with clinical, product, operations and marketing teams to ensure successful implementation and sustained adoption.
  • Personally remain active in the field and close strategically important relationships.
Mandatory Eligibility Criteria

To respect the time of applicants, we request applications only from professionals meeting all the following criteria:

1. Minimum 12 years of healthcare sales experience, including at least five years in senior regional, zonal or national leadership.

2. Relevant experience in:

  • Cardiovascular or patient-monitoring medical devices;
  • Cardiac diagnostics, cath-lab products or connected monitoring;
  • Cardiology-focused specialty pharmaceuticals; or
  • Closely related hospital-based medical technologies.

3. Proven personal responsibility for expanding a healthcare business across at least five Indian states covering a minimum of three geographical zones.

4. Demonstrated experience personally building and activating distributor or channel networks—not merely managing inherited distributors.

5. An established professional network involving cardiologists, cardiac surgeons, hospital leadership, procurement teams and medical-device distributors.

6. Experience leading at least 20 direct and indirect field-sales professionals, with responsibility for targets, forecasting, collections and productivity.

7. A verifiable record of delivering significant revenue growth, opening new territories or creating a successful business vertical.

8. Experience managing institutional sales, physician engagement and distributor-led sales.

9. Willingness to work closely from Gurugram and travel extensively across India.

10. Strong professional references and willingness to undergo employment, qualification and reference verification.

The Person We Hope to Meet

We are looking for a leader who is:

  • Ambitious without being arrogant.
  • Entrepreneurial while remaining disciplined.
  • Highly energetic and comfortable spending substantial time in the field.
  • A builder of markets rather than a caretaker of established accounts.
  • Capable of converting vision into practical weekly execution.
  • Data-driven, financially responsible and transparent.
  • Resilient and persistent in difficult markets.
  • Collaborative with existing teams and respectful of clinical leadership.
  • Passionate about creating a healthcare platform that can ultimately serve millions of people.
  • At a stage in their career where they are ready to build a legacy, not simply occupy another position.
This Role May Not Be Suitable For

This opportunity may not be suitable for candidates whose experience is primarily limited to:

  • A single city or state;
  • Retail, OTC or general-trade sales;
  • Maintaining inherited accounts;
  • Sales coordination without direct revenue responsibility;
  • Distributor management without personally creating the network;
  • General pharmaceutical sales without cardiology or hospital exposure; or
  • Leadership positions without continuing field involvement.
Measures of Success

Success will be measured through:

  • Paid subscription and recurring-revenue growth
  • Expansion into new states and cities
  • Productive distributors and channel partners
  • Active hospitals, physicians and clinical champions
  • Major institutional partnerships
  • Sales-team productivity
  • Conversion, renewal and collection performance
  • Pipeline quality and forecast accuracy
  • Creation of a repeatable national expansion model
