General Manager - Quality Control

Role Overview:

The GM - Quality Control will lead the company's quality assurance and quality control functions, ensuring that all products meet food safety, regulatory, and company quality standards. The role is responsible for driving quality excellence across raw materials, production, packaging, and finished goods while ensuring compliance with FSSAI, HACCP, ISO, and other applicable food safety standards. The incumbent will also lead quality improvement initiatives, manage audits, and build a strong quality culture across all manufacturing operations.

Job Description

• Responsible for ensuring that finished goods, raw materials, and packaging materials comply with defined company specifications and quality standards, including materials received from approved vendors.
• Ensure adherence to FSSAI, GMP, HACCP, ISO, 5S, Kaizen, and all other applicable quality, food safety, and statutory requirements.
• Lead the Quality team, ensure compliance with SOPs, and monitor production processes against KPIs to identify and drive continuous improvement.
• Ensure the plant operates without quality deviations; identify, analyze, resolve, and document deviations with appropriate corrective and preventive actions.
• Drive a strong Quality & Food Safety culture across the plant and ensure effective planning, documentation, and resource management to achieve quality objectives.
• Monitor and resolve market complaints and product integrity concerns in coordination with Production and Consumer Response teams; conduct root cause analysis and implement corrective actions.
• Manage shelf-life studies, external audits, and audit compliance, ensuring all observations are addressed and required corrective actions are implemented.

Requirements

• Must be B.Tech Foods from a reputed university.
• Must have 08 - 12 years of experience in the Food Industry, with prior experience in an FMCG company being mandatory.
• Must be a good team player and capable of leading a team.
• Good communication skills.
• Open to relocate to Bengaluru.
