Job summary

Kabra Global Products in Telangana is seeking a Quality Controller to monitor quality across raw materials, in-process products and finished goods. You will ensure GMP/HACCP/FSSAI compliance, maintain records and support audits in a fast-paced FMCG environment.

The role requires 3–6 years of QA/QC experience and a B.Sc./M.Sc. in a related field, with strong attention to detail and solid documentation skills.

Qualifications

• FMCG/food manufacturing QA/QC experience desired (3–6 years)
• Knowledge of GMP, HACCP, FSSAI and food safety practices required
• Strong attention to detail and rigorous documentation
• Analytical and problem-solving skills for root-cause analysis
• Experience with quality documentation and reporting (records, test reports)
• Good communication and teamwork abilities
• Ability to work in a production/manufacturing environment
• Proficiency with MS Excel and MS Office

Responsibilities

• Inspect raw materials, packaging, in-process goods and finished products against quality standards
• Conduct routine quality checks, sampling, and testing per SOPs
• Ensure GMP/HACCP/FSSAI compliance and hygiene practices
• Monitor production processes to identify deviations or defects
• Maintain inspection reports, test records and checklists
• Coordinate CAPA with Production to address quality issues
• Check appearance, weight, packaging details, batch numbers and expiry dates
• Ensure proper storage and handling of materials and finished goods
• Support internal and external quality audits
• Investigate customer complaints and help determine root cause
• Ensure production activities align with SOPs and quality standards
• Report major quality issues to Quality Manager/Management

Quality Controller Job Description (FMCG)

Position: Quality Controller
Department: Quality Assurance / Quality Control

Job Responsibilities

• Inspect raw materials, packaging materials, in-process products, and finished goods to ensure they meet quality standards.


• Conduct routine quality checks, sampling, and testing as per company SOPs.


• Ensure compliance with GMP, HACCP, FSSAI, food safety, and hygiene standards.


• Monitor production processes and identify any quality deviations or defects.


• Maintain quality-related records, inspection reports, test reports, and checklists.


• Identify quality issues and coordinate with the Production team for corrective and preventive actions (CAPA).


• Check product appearance, taste, texture, weight, packaging, labeling, batch details, and expiry dates, as applicable.

• Investigate customer complaints related to product quality and assist in finding the root cause.


• Ensure all production activities are carried out according to SOPs and quality standards.


• Report any major quality issues to the Quality Manager / Management.
