Job summary

RCL Agencies East India is seeking a seasoned CA to lead end-to-end Finance & Accounts operations for its shipping agency business in Mumbai. You will manage Principal reporting, budgeting, and monthly/annual closings, while driving treasury, compliance, and performance analyses across branch locations.

The role requires 10+ years in F&A with shipping industry exposure, strong leadership, and proven ability to manage internal controls and cross-functional stakeholder relationships.

Qualifications

• Chartered Accountant qualification is mandatory.
• 10+ years of Finance & Accounts experience in shipping or related industries.
• Strong knowledge of financial reporting, taxation, audits, treasury, and compliance.
• Experience in Principal reporting and shipping agency accounting is a plus.
• Excellent stakeholder management and leadership skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end Finance & Accounts operations for shipping agency business.
• Manage Principal/HQ reporting, PCA reconciliation, agency commissions, funding, and performance reporting.
• Oversee budgeting, forecasting, MIS, profitability analysis, and management reporting.
• Ensure credit control, receivables management, and cash flow planning.
• Handle statutory compliance, GST, TDS, income tax, audits, and regulatory requirements.
• Monitor vessel-related expenses, PDA reviews, and shipping financial controls.
• Lead month-end/year-end closing, financial accounting, and internal controls.
• Drive ERP utilization and finance automation initiatives (SAP).
• Manage relationships with Principals, auditors, banks, consultants, and government authorities.
• Lead and develop Finance & Accounts team and oversee administrative operations across branches.

Preferred candidate profile

• Chartered Accountant compulsory
• 10+ years of Finance & Accounts experience, preferably in Shipping, Liner Agency, Logistics, Freight Forwarding, or Maritime industry.
• Strong knowledge of financial reporting, taxation, audits, treasury, and compliance.
• Experience in managing Principal reporting and shipping agency accounting will be an added advantage.
• Excellent stakeholder management and leadership skills.
