The role covers end-to-end costing for Foundry and Manufacturing, COPA, material cost control, variance analysis, budgeting, and ERP/SAP costing mastery to drive profit optimizations.

Qualifications

• Engineering graduate with ICWAI/ICMAI certification.
• 18+ years of experience in manufacturing costing.
• Experience in heavy manufacturing, foundry, pumps, automotive preferred.

Responsibilities

• End-to-end costing for Foundry and Manufacturing Plant, ownership of product costing and COPA.
• Material cost control, BOM validation, and inventory cost management.
• Costing system development and management decision support with accurate cost data.
• Budgeting and forecasting of manufacturing costs.
• Strong analytical and ERP/SAP costing knowledge; zero-based costing experience.

Role Overview:

Our client, a leading machinery making engineering conglomerate based in Pune, seeks a General Manager – Costing with strong manufacturing costing experience. The incumbent must be an engineering graduate with ICWAI / ICMAI certification and 18 – 25 years of experience. This role reports to the CFO and manages a large team.

Role and Responsibilities:

The person will be responsible for end-to-end costing activities for the Foundry and Manufacturing Plant, including ownership of product costing, COPA, material cost control, variance analysis, costing system development, and supporting management decision-making through accurate cost information.

• Product Costing and Cost Sheet preparation
• Foundry Costing, Material Costing, and Manufacturing Cost Analysis
• COPA (Profitability Analysis) and SAP Controlling modules
• Material Control, BOM validation, and Inventory Cost Management
• Standard Costing, Variance Analysis, and Cost Optimization initiatives
• Development and strengthening of costing systems and processes
• Plant-level cost monitoring and profitability analysis
• Budgeting and forecasting of manufacturing costs
• Strong analytical and ERP/SAP costing knowledge
• MUST have experience in Zero Based Costing
• MUST have experience in costing involving various metals
• Preference shall be given to candidates having experience in engineering, foundry, casting, pumps, automotive, or other heavy manufacturing industries.
