Job summary

The Corporate Institute, Pune, seeks a GM Costing with 18-25 years of manufacturing industry experience. The role reports to the finance head and leads a sizable team, requiring an engineering background with ICWAI/ICMAI qualifications. You will drive zero-based costing, metal costing, and profitability analysis across products and processes.

You will review product costing, perform IRR/payback analyses, and prepare monthly variances and management reports to support strategic decisions.

Qualifications

• Engineering graduate with ICWAI/ICMAI required.

Responsibilities

• Must have experience in Zero Based Costing.
• Must have experience in costing involving various metals.
• Review total new product costing through check of related internal workings.
• Analyze IRR, payback for new projects to identify opportunities for RMC reduction, capex reduction.
• Collate & Collate P&L on monthly basis; compare with budget to study the gap.
• Prepare & Submit report of variance analysis on monthly basis.
• Study product wise/process wise material cost variance and highlight major variances to stakeholders.
• Study & compare customer wise sales data with budget and prepare variance report for management.
• Prepare & propose cost estimates of product & process in SAP
• Review & update machine hour rate on quarterly/yearly basis.
• Study product cost after updating rate and identify impact on process cost.
• Prepare product-wise contribution report.
• Analyze product/process cost to control variances.
• Highlight performance based on product & process cost; suggest improvements with ME department head.
• Prepare data for internal/external audits.
• Plan, study, and collect data to determine costs of business activity.
• Prepare plant efficiency statements for all plants.
• Submit monthly management reports.
• Prepare product-wise cost sheet along with profitability.

Our client, a leading machinery making engineering conglomerate based in Pune seeks GM Costing.

The incumbent must be engineering graduate with ICWAI / ICMAI with 18-25 years of experience. This role reports to the finance head and manages a fairly large team. Incumbent must have experience in manufacturing background.

Role and Responsibilities :

• MUST have experience in Zero Based Costing.
• MUST have experience in costing involving various metals.
• Review total new product costing through check of related internal workings
• Analyze calculation of financial parameters such as IRR, payback for new project to identify opportunities for RMC reduction, capex reduction and to provide competitive rate proposal to customer
• Collet & Collate P&L on monthly basis. Compare the report with Budget to study the gap.
• Prepare & Submit report of variance analysis on monthly basis.
• Study product wise/process wise martial cost variance and highlighting difference of major impacting variances to concerned stakeholders.
• Study & compare customer wise sales data with budget & prepare the variance report to management for decision making.
• Prepare & propose cost estimates of product & process in SAP
• Review & Update machine hour rate on quarterly / Yearly basis.
• Studying product cost after updating of rate & identify impact on process cost
