Job summary

United Hr Solutions is seeking a General Manager Accounts & Finance for a client in chemical manufacturing, based in Fort, Mumbai. The role oversees the Group's accounting, audit, taxation, banking and statutory compliance, reporting to the CMD/Directors and coordinating with external professionals.

• Strong coordination and communication skills with banks, auditors, consultants, and statutory authorities.
• Ability to independently manage responsibilities and interact with senior management/CMD/Directors.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and control the accounting functions of all Group companies, entities and Trusts.
• Oversee day-to-day accounting operations and ensure proper maintenance of books and financial records.
• Handle preparation and finalisation of annual/final accounts as per applicable Accounting Standards/Ind AS and Companies Act provisions.
• Establish and maintain effective internal accounting controls, systems and procedures.
• Identify financial and accounting risks and implement appropriate controls.
• Oversee banking transactions, reconciliations and other banking-related activities.
• Maintain effective liaison with Bank Managers and banking officials.
• Coordinate with Internal and Statutory Auditors and ensure timely resolution of audit queries.
• Ensure compliance with Income Tax, TDS, GST, Professional Tax (PT) and other applicable statutory requirements.
• Coordinate with tax consultants/advisors regarding assessments, notices, appeals and other taxation matters.
• Monitor statutory due dates and ensure timely filing of returns and payments.
• Independently liaise with banks, Government authorities, statutory authorities, consultants and other external parties.
• Provide timely financial, accounting and compliance-related information to the CMD/Directors.
• Independently follow up on matters assigned by the CMD/Directors and ensure timely completion.
• Maintain confidentiality of financial, corporate, taxation and other sensitive information.

Role Overview:
