Key Responsibilities
Development & Pre-Opening
- Supervise and coordinate hospitality-related aspects of the resort's construction and development.
- Work closely with architects, consultants, contractors, vendors and other project stakeholders.
- Assist in planning operational layouts, equipment, systems and staffing requirements.
- Develop and implement SOPs, service standards and operating systems ahead of opening.
- Plan and oversee recruitment, training and development of the pre-opening team.
- Coordinate pre-opening activities to ensure the property is operationally ready for launch.
Resort Operations
Following the opening of the resort, the General Manager will assume overall responsibility for its day-to-day operations and performance.
Responsibilities will include:
- Overall management of resort operations, including Food & Beverage, Front Office, Housekeeping, Guest Services and Administration.
- Maintaining high standards of hospitality, service quality and guest experience.
- Developing and implementing operational policies, procedures and service standards.
- Managing budgets, procurement, operating costs and overall P&L performance.
- Driving occupancy, revenue generation, profitability and operational efficiency.
- Recruiting, training, motivating and leading a high-performing hospitality team.
- Managing relationships with suppliers, contractors, business partners and other stakeholders.
- Ensuring compliance with applicable statutory, safety and operational requirements.
- Representing the resort professionally with guests and external stakeholders.
Candidate Profile
The ideal candidate should have:
- A degree or diploma in Hotel Management / Hospitality Management from a recognised institution.
- Approximately 1520+ years of relevant hospitality experience, with preference for candidates with around 20 years or more.
- Strong and demonstrable Food & Beverage management experience.
- Proven experience in a senior hotel or resort management position.
- Experience in resort pre-opening, hotel pre-opening, hospitality project development or setting up new operations will be highly advantageous.
- Strong knowledge of hotel/resort operations and hospitality service standards.
- Demonstrated ability to manage budgets, costs, revenue and P&L.
- Excellent leadership, communication and people-management skills.
- A hands-on, commercially minded and entrepreneurial approach.
- The ability to work independently, take ownership and manage multiple responsibilities during both the development and operational phases.
