Job summary

KP Group is seeking a Planning & Billing Engineer for a 300 MW solar project in Bhuj, Gujarat. The role focuses on project planning, scheduling, progress monitoring and billing for the solar installation.

Responsibilities include developing schedules, preparing running accounts, and coordinating with engineering, procurement and finance teams to ensure on-time and compliant billing. A BE/BTech in engineering and proficiency in project management tools are required.

Qualifications

• Coordinate with accounts and finance teams for timely payments.
• Maintain documentation for work completion certificates, BOQs and contracts.
• Monitor project costs and ensure adherence to budgets; track procurement and expenses.
• Identify cost overruns and propose corrective actions.
• Liaise with project managers, site engineers, procurement and finance teams.
• Communicate with vendors and clients regarding invoices, approvals and payments.
• Conduct regular review meetings to track progress and resolve billing issues.
• Ensure compliance with contract terms, tax regulations and financial guidelines.

Job Summary:

The Planning & Billing Engineer is responsible for project planning, scheduling, progress monitoring, and billing activities for a solar power project. The role involves coordinating with project teams, vendors, and clients to ensure timely execution and financial compliance.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Project Planning & Scheduling:

• Develop and maintain project schedules using MS Project / Primavera / Excel.
• Define work breakdown structure (WBS) and project timelines.
• Coordinate with engineering, procurement, and site teams to align schedules.
• Monitor project progress and update schedules accordingly.
• Identify potential delays and suggest mitigation strategies.
• Prepare RA (Running Account) bills, invoices, and final billing for clients and subcontractors.
