Job summary

KP Group in India is seeking an experienced Project Head to lead the execution and delivery of a large-scale solar EPC project.

You will oversee planning, procurement, construction, commissioning, and handover, manage budgets, schedules, and safety, and coordinate with officials, consultants, vendors, and clients.

The role requires 20+ years in solar/energy projects, with 8–10 years in utility-scale solar, strong leadership, and familiarity with SECI/government initiatives.

Qualifications

• B.Tech/B.E. in Electrical Engineering from a recognized university.
• Minimum 20 years of experience in power/renewable energy projects.
• At least 8–10 years in utility-scale solar project execution.
• Strong exposure to SECI/large government projects preferred.
• Proven experience handling MW-scale EPC solar projects independently.
• Strong leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
• Good knowledge of project planning tools, contracts, and construction management.
• Familiarity with transmission systems, substations, and evacuation works is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end execution of the project from mobilization to commissioning.
• Develop project execution strategies, schedules, and resource plans.
• Ensure project completion within timelines, budget, quality, and safety standards.
• Coordinate with officials, consultants, contractors, vendors, and internal stakeholders.
• Monitor engineering, procurement, construction, testing, and commissioning activities.
• Ensure compliance with statutory, contractual, environmental, and safety requirements.
• Manage project risks, bottlenecks, and escalation issues effectively.
• Review project progress and submit MIS/reports to management.
• Drive site productivity and optimize manpower and equipment utilization.
• Lead commercial discussions related to variations, billing, claims, and subcontractor management.
• Ensure adherence to quality standards and HSE guidelines across project activities.
• Support project handover and closure activities.

We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Project Head to lead the execution and delivery of a large-scale Project. The candidate will be responsible for overall project management, including planning, execution, resource management, stakeholder coordination, commercial control, statutory compliance, and timely commissioning of the solar power plant.

The ideal candidate should have extensive experience in utility-scale solar EPC projects and strong leadership capabilities in handling multidisciplinary teams and client interactions.
