Aarjay Bioenergy in India is seeking a senior plant leader to own P&L for the pellet plant, oversee operations, and drive profitability. You will manage raw-material sourcing, quality control, and compliance while leading a multi-disciplinary team and coordinating with customers and vendors.

The role requires extensive experience in biomass processing, strong commercial acumen, and readiness to base at Janjgir-Champa.

Formación

• B.E./B.Tech in Mechanical, Chemical or Agri or equivalent; MBA preferred.
• 10–15 years’ experience with at least 3–5 years heading a plant/unit in biomass/related processes.
• Exposure to biomass supply chain or power-plant vendor dealings is a strong plus.
• Hands-on with machinery and shop-floor management in a rural factory setting.
• Commercial sense: costing, procurement negotiation, and tender documentation.
• Strong Hindi and English; local knowledge (Chhattisgarhi) advantageous.
• Willing to be based at Janjgir-Champa.

Responsabilidades

• Own P&L for pellet plant production, quality, costs, dispatch, and profitability.
• Run day-to-day plant operations: shift planning, uptime, maintenance, power and consumables.
• Source and manage raw material supply: paddy straw and biomass; contracts and seasonal planning.
• Ensure pellet quality meets specs; manage lab testing and third-party certification.
• Handle tendering, bids, dispatch, invoicing, and plant-side coordination with customers.
• Lead supervisors, operators, lab, logistics, and office staff; hire and train teams.
• Ensure compliance: licenses, pollution permits, GST/e-way, labour laws, safety.
• Coordinate with bankers, auditors, vendors, and government agencies.
• Prepare weekly MIS reports for directors on production, stock, sales, and costs.

Role & Responsibilities

• Overall P&L ownership of the pellet plant production, quality, costs, dispatch and plant profitability
• Run day-to-day plant operations: shift planning, machinery uptime, preventive maintenance, power and consumables
• Build and manage raw-material supply — paddy straw, agri-residue and other biomass sourcing from farmers, aggregators and balers; contracts, pricing and seasonal stock planning
• Ensure pellet quality meets power-plant specifications (GCV, moisture, ash, size) and manage lab testing and third-party certification
• Handle customer side with thermal power plants — tender/GeM bids, supply contracts, dispatch schedules, invoicing follow-up and plant-side coordination
• Lead a team of supervisors, operators, lab, logistics and office staff; hiring, training and discipline
• Compliance: factory licence, pollution (CECB) consents, GST/e-way bills, labour laws, safety and fire norms
• Coordinate with bankers, auditors, machinery vendor (AMC/spares) and government agencies as required
• Weekly MIS to directors — production, stock, sales, receivables, costs

Preferred Candidate Profile

• B.E./B.Tech (Mechanical/Chemical/Agri) or equivalent; MBA preferred
• 10–15 years’ experience with at least 3–5 years heading a plant/unit — biomass pellet, briquette, agri-processing, rice mill, cement, FMCG or similar process industry
• Prior exposure to biomass supply chain or power-plant/NTPC vendor dealings is a strong plus
• Hands-on with machinery, maintenance and shop-floor people; comfortable in a rural factory setting
• Commercial sense — costing, procurement negotiation, tender documentation
• Strong Hindi and English; Chhattisgarhi/local knowledge an advantage
• Must be willing to be based at Janjgir-Champa
