THERMAX is seeking a Station Manager for its biomass plant in India. The role requires leading daily operations, ensuring biomass, biogas production and methane purification targets are met, and enforcing strict safety standards.

The candidate should have a BE in Mechanical, Electrical, or Chemical engineering with 10–12 years of relevant experience, including maintenance planning and coordination with safety and procurement teams. On-site role with hands-on plant supervision.

Qualifikationen

• BE degree in Mechanical, Electrical or Chemical engineering is required.
• 10–12 years of experience in plant operations or station management.
• Experience with biomass, biogas production and methane purification.
• Knowledge of safety standards and lockout/tagout procedures.

Aufgaben

• Oversee daily plant operations to meet biomass, biogas and methane targets.
• Ensure maintenance plans for all machines per SM/PM guidelines.
• Enforce safety practices including PPE, electrical safety and hazardous energy control.
• Coordinate with local labour, safety audit and procurement for timely parts.
• Capture and report daily plant data and energy/mass balances.

Job Description

• Oversee daily operations of the plant to ensure that all biomass process, biogas production & methane purification including safety goals are met as per daily targets.


• Understanding Bio-CNG/Bio-gas production methodology & different type of biomass handling and its feeding process


• Thorough understanding of Identification, troubleshooting and repair activities mechanical, pneumatic and simple electrical problems on plant facilities and production equipment’s


• Ensure execution of maintenance plan for all the machines as per SM,PM


• Understand and enforce safe work practices related to the following: respiratory protection, elevated work platforms, fall protection, control of hazardous energy (Lockout/Tagout procedure), fire protection systems, electrical safety, forklift/hoist operation, welding, cutting, brazing, confined space entry, PPE and employee Right to Know


• Coordination with Local Labour team and Safety audit team.


• Manage critical machines and resource planning for Plant spare parts,


• Follow up with purchase department for timely delivery of plant short/long lead items


• Support on safety issues (explosive and hazardous gas, work safety, personal protective equipment)


• Implementation of MIS, protocols for daily, weekly and monthly data.


• Accountable for Daily processing and production volume


• Responsible for daily Straw processing target


• Responsible for Gas purification and processing including gas cascades


• Oversee the daily Monitoring and capturing data of all utility, auxiliary systems


• Coordination of humus, manure, compost collection and transportation to Client


• Drive and implement management systems and initiatives such as IMS, TPM, KAIZEN and Business Excellence for department


• Preparation of energy and mass balances


• Knowledge of PLC/DCS Trouble shooting & problem solving


• Development and realization of further progress for optimization of the plants performance


• Coordinate and provide feedback to Management for planning and monitoring of plant activities


• Ensure safety procedures are followed at all levels and good housekeeping levels are maintained.
