Job summary

Evonence in Pune is seeking a seasoned GCP Architect to lead design and governance of our GCP infrastructure. You will bridge business needs with technical delivery to craft scalable, secure, cost-effective cloud-native architectures while guiding devops and engineering teams.

You will own end-to-end architecture, migrations, and IaC practices, mentoring engineers and participating in architecture review boards to ensure best-in-class solutions.

Qualifications

• 7+ years total IT experience with 5+ years dedicated to GCP architecture.
• Experience designing and migrating to GCP or multi-cloud environments.
• Strong IaC and security/governance experience.

Responsibilities

• Design end-to-end cloud architectures for high availability, disaster recovery, and multi-tenant platforms using the GCP Well-Architected Framework.
• Lead cloud migration strategies (on-prem to GCP or multi-cloud) and workload modernization.
• Enforce automation best practices using Terraform, Cloud Build, and CI/CD pipelines across cloud deployments.
• Define IAM policies, enterprise VPC topologies, network security (Cloud Armor, Firewalls), and governance frameworks.
• Implement cost governance and FinOps practices to maximize ROI on cloud spend.
• Produce High-Level (HLD) and Low-Level Design (LLD) documentation and mentor staff.

Role Summary

We are seeking a GCP Architect to lead the design, enterprise migration, and architectural governance of our Google Cloud Platform infrastructure. You will bridge business requirements with technical delivery, establishing scalable, secure, and cost-effective cloud-native architectures while guiding devops and engineering teams through execution.

Key Responsibilities:

• Architecture & Strategy: Design end-to-end cloud architectures for high availability, disaster recovery, and multi-tenant platforms using the GCP Well-Architected Framework.
• Migration & Modernization: Lead complex cloud migration strategies (on-premise to GCP or multi-cloud), workload containerization, and legacy application refactoring.
• Infrastructure as Code (IaC): Enforce automation best practices using Terraform, Cloud Build, and CI/CD pipelines across all cloud deployments.
• Security & Governance: Define IAM policies, enterprise VPC topographies, network security (Cloud Armor, Firewalls), and governance frameworks aligned with regulatory compliance.
• Cost Optimization (FinOps): Implement cost governance, resource tagging, and performance tuning to maximize ROI on cloud spend.
• Technical Leadership: Produce High-Level (HLD) and Low-Level Design (LLD) documentation, mentor engineering staff, and conduct architecture review boards.

Required Technical Skills & Qualifications:

• Compute & Orchestration: Deep expertise in Google Kubernetes Engine (GKE), Compute Engine, Cloud Run, and serverless architectures.
• Networking & Security: Master-level understanding of VPC design, Cloud Interconnect, Shared VPC, IAM, KMS, and Security Command Center.
• Data & Analytics (GCP): Hands-on architecture experience with BigQuery, Cloud Storage, Cloud SQL, Cloud Spanner, and Pub/Sub.
• Automation Tools: Advanced proficiency in Terraform, GitOps, Docker, Ansible, and Python/Bash scripting.
• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or equivalent experience.

Preferred Certifications:

• Google Cloud Certified – Professional Cloud Architect
