Job summary

HypTechie in Bengaluru, India, is seeking a GCP Architect to design and manage end-to-end Google Cloud Platform infrastructure. The role focuses on security, IaC, and scalable deployment across compute, storage, networking, and Kubernetes environments.

You will collaborate with development and operations teams to implement robust CI/CD pipelines, monitor performance, and drive best practices in cloud architecture and DevSecOps. A strong lead-ready background is required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, IT, or related field.
• 6 to 9 years of cloud administration experience with Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
• Proven expertise with Compute Engine, Cloud Storage, VPC, IAM, and related services.
• Extensive IaC development using Terraform, with best practices.
• Proficiency in GitLab for CI/CD and version control.
• Solid networking, security principles, and DevOps knowledge.
• Certifications such as Google Cloud Certified – Professional Cloud Architect are a plus.

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines with Jenkins, GitLab; enforce security in SDLC.
• Manage artifacts in Nexus and JFrog Artifactory for release management.
• Provide technical guidance and stay updated on cloud trends.

GCP Architect Responsibilities & Skills

• Monitor system performance, troubleshoot issues, and implement optimizations to ensure high availability and reliability of GCP services.
• Experience Managing Container Infrastructure (GKE): design, implement, and upgrade container infrastructure such as K8s Cluster & Node Pools, create and maintain deployment manifest files for microservices using Helm, utilize service mesh Istio to create gateways, virtual services, traffic routing, and fault injection, troubleshoot and resolve container infrastructure & deployment issues.
• Continuous Integration & Continuous Deployment: develop and maintain CI/CD pipelines for software delivery using Git and tools such as Jenkins, GitLab, etc.; automate build, test, and deployment processes to ensure efficient release cycles and enforce software development best practices (e.g., Quality Gates, Vulnerability Scans, etc.); automate build & deployment process using Groovy, Go, Python, Shell, PowerShell; implement DevSecOps practices and tools to integrate security into the software development and deployment lifecycle.
• Manage artifact repositories (e.g., Nexus and JFrog Artifactory) for version control and release management.
• Implement security best practices and ensure compliance with industry standards and regulatory requirements.
• Conduct periodic reviews and audits of GCP infrastructure to identify areas for improvement and optimization.
• Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior team members, fostering a culture of continuous learning and development.
• Stay abreast of emerging technologies and industry trends, evaluating their potential impact on our cloud infrastructure strategy.

• Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills, with the ability to troubleshoot complex technical issues in a production environment.
