Job summary

Sonyo Management Consultants is seeking an experienced GCP Solution Architect to design, develop, and manage scalable cloud solutions on Google Cloud Platform. You will translate business needs into cloud architectures and lead cross-functional teams to deliver secure, cost-efficient deployments.

The role requires hands-on expertise in GCP services, IaC tooling, and DevOps practices. Collaboration with stakeholders and governance of cloud standards are essential for success.

Qualifications

• Strong experience with GCP services and cloud architecture design patterns.
• Experience with IaC using Terraform and Deployment Manager.
• Proficiency in CI/CD tooling and DevOps practices.
• Knowledge of security, IAM, network design and cost optimization.

Responsibilities

• Design end-to-end cloud architectures on Google Cloud Platform.
• Lead migration of on-prem workloads to GCP (lift-and-shift / re-architecture).
• Develop scalable, secure, and cost-optimized cloud solutions.
• Collaborate with DevOps, Data, Security, and App teams.
• Define governance, best practices, and architectural standards.
• Evaluate and recommend GCP services and tools.
• Provide technical leadership to development teams.
• Ensure security, compliance, and performance optimization.
• Create architecture diagrams and technical designs.
• Support CI/CD implementation and DevOps adoption.
• Troubleshoot and optimize existing cloud infrastructure.

Job Title: GCP Solution Architect

Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Google Cloud Platform (GCP) Solution Architect to design, develop, and manage scalable, secure, and reliable cloud solutions. The role involves working closely with stakeholders, engineering teams, and business units to translate business requirements into cloud-based architectures using GCP services.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and implement end-to-end cloud architectures on Google Cloud Platform
• Lead migration of on-premise workloads to GCP (lift-and-shift / re-architecture)
• Develop highly scalable, secure, and cost-optimized solutions
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams (DevOps, Data, Security, App teams)
• Define cloud governance, best practices, and architecture standards
• Evaluate and recommend appropriate GCP services and tools
• Provide technical leadership and guidance to development teams
• Ensure security, compliance, and performance optimization
• Create architecture diagrams, documentation, and technical designs
• Support CI/CD implementation, automation, and DevOps adoption
• Troubleshoot and optimize existing cloud infrastructure

Required Skills & Qualifications

Technical Skills

• Strong experience in Google Cloud Platform (GCP) services such as:
• Compute Engine, App Engine, GKE, Cloud Run
• Cloud Storage, BigQuery, Cloud SQL, Firestore
• Pub/Sub, Dataflow, Dataproc
• Expertise in cloud architecture design patterns
• Experience with Infrastructure as Code (Terraform / Deployment Manager)
• Knowledge of networking (VPC, subnets, load balancing, VPN, DNS)
• Strong understanding of security (IAM, encryption, firewall rules)
• Experience with DevOps tools (CI/CD pipelines, Jenkins, Git, Cloud Build)
• Knowledge of containerization (Docker, Kubernetes)
• Familiarity with monitoring tools (Cloud Monitoring, Logging)

Preferred Qualifications

• Exposure to FinOps and cost optimization strategies
