Job summary

The role requires strong expertise in Primavera P6, MS Project, MIS reporting, progress monitoring, and stakeholder coordination to drive on-time project delivery.

Qualifications

• Develop and maintain integrated project schedules (L1 & L2) across EPC.
• Define and standardize WBS, activity codes, and progress methods.
• Consolidate L3/L4 schedules into the master plan.
• Establish and control baseline schedule and S-curves.
• Validate resource loading and subcontractor integration.
• Prepare and present MIS reports and dashboards.

Responsibilities

• Regularly update the project baseline with verified progress data.
• Conduct variance analysis and report deviations from baseline.
• Identify critical activities, evaluate float erosion, and assess time-risk.
• Lead delay analysis and quantify schedule impacts for changes.
• Prepare executive MIS reports, dashboards, and exception reports.
• Support time extension claims and audits.
• Collaborate with PMs, Contracts teams, and suppliers.
• Engage IT teams to implement integrated monitoring tools.

Job Description

Planning & Scheduling

• Develop and maintain integrated project schedules (L1 & L2), capturing contractual milestones, major deliverables, and inter-disciplinary dependencies across Engineering, Procurement, and Construction (EPC).
• Define and standardize the Work Breakdown Structure (WBS), activity codes, and progress measurement methodology to ensure consistency across functions.
• Consolidate functional (L3/L4) schedules prepared by Functional Planners into the overall master plan.
• Establish and control the project baseline schedule and S-curves for client approval and internal governance. Prepares S Curve at Project & Function levels – Engineering, procurement & construction
• Validate resource and quantity loading across the schedule to ensure alignment between planned execution and actual resource availability.
• Ensure integration of subcontractor/vendor schedules into the master project schedule.

Progress Monitoring, Control & Reporting

• Regularly update the overall project baseline with verified progress data consolidated from Functional Planners.
• Conduct variance analysis (planned vs actual vs forecast) and report deviations from the baseline.
• Identify critical and near-critical activities, evaluate float erosion, and assess time-risk impacts.
• Lead delay analysis and quantify schedule impacts for change orders, risk events, or scope variations.
• Prepare and present executive-level MIS reports, S-curves, progress dashboards, and exception reports for management and client.
• Formulate, review, and obtain management/client approvals for overall project-level catch-up/recovery plans.
• Support Project Management and Contracts teams in the preparation of time extension claims and internal/external audits.
• Performs other responsibilities associated with this position as may be appropriate under the direction of the Lead Planner/Immediate Superior/PCM

Stakeholder Management

• Facilitate and lead progress review meetings with client representatives, JV partners, subcontractors, and internal senior management.
• Present schedule status, risks, and recovery actions in governance forums and project reviews.
• Coordinate with Project Managers/RCMs to align execution strategies with overall schedule requirements and contractual timelines.
• Act as the decision-support partner to project leadership by highlighting risks and recommending mitigation strategies.
• Collaborate with Supply Chain and Engineering Heads to ensure alignment of procurement and engineering deliverables with schedule commitments.
• Guide Functional Planners in methodology, reporting standards, and schedule update procedures to ensure accurate and timely input.
• Engage with Digital & IT teams to implement and improve integrated project monitoring tools (e.g., Primavera, dashboards, reporting systems).
