Genpact is seeking a Front Line Manager for HRO - Payroll & Benefits to lead end-to-end payroll operations and ensure accurate, timely closures. The role collaborates with Tax, Banking, HR, and Accounting teams to align payroll with business needs and regulatory requirements.

The ideal candidate will have strong experience in payroll, taxes, process improvement, and team leadership, with a hybrid work setup in India.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's and master's degrees in commerce, economics, finance or related fields.
• Certifications in employee benefits and HR management are preferred.
• Strong analytical and process-improvement capabilities.

Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end payroll operations and timely payroll closures.
• Review payroll taxes and oversee monthly tax filings per law.
• Coordinate funding for salary disbursements and tax payments.
• Manage payroll activities including variance analysis and reconciliations.
• Provide documentation for audits and liaise with cross-functional teams.
• Mentor payroll team to improve performance and efficiency.

Job Description Responsibilities:

• Lead end‑to‑end payroll operations, ensuring accurate and timely payroll closure.
• Review payroll‑related taxes and oversee monthly tax filings in compliance with statutory requirements.
• Coordinate with the Banking team to ensure timely funding for salary disbursements and tax payments.
• Manage payroll activities including monthly variance analysis and account reconciliations.
• Provide necessary documentation and support for internal and external audits.
• Maintain strong communication and collaboration with Hiring, C&B, HR, and Accounting teams to align payroll operations with cross‑functional impacts.
• Mentor and guide the payroll team to optimize performance and ensure process efficiency.
