Job summary

Genpact in India is seeking a Front Line Manager for HRO Payroll & Benefits to lead end-to-end payroll operations, ensure timely payroll closure, and oversee tax filings.

You will collaborate with cross-functional teams across Hiring, C&B, HR, and Accounting, mentor the payroll team, and drive process efficiency in a fast-moving, AI-driven environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degrees in Commerce, Economics or Finance.
• MBA or related master's degree preferred.
• CEBS certification from ICMAI is desirable.
• PHR certification from Symbiosis Institute of Distance Learning is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end payroll operations with timely closure.
• Review payroll taxes and oversee monthly filings.
• Coordinate with Banking for salary disbursement funding.
• Manage monthly variance analysis and reconciliations.
• Provide audit documentation and support for internal/external audits.
• Collaborate with Hiring, C&B, HR, and Accounting for cross-functional impacts.
• Mentor payroll team to optimize performance and efficiency.

Job Description Responsibilities:

• Lead end-to-end payroll operations, ensuring accurate and timely payroll closure.
• Review payroll-related taxes and oversee monthly tax filings in compliance with statutory requirements.
• Coordinate with the Banking team to ensure timely funding for salary disbursements and tax payments.
• Manage payroll activities including monthly variance analysis and account reconciliations.
• Provide necessary documentation and support for internal and external audits.
• Maintain strong communication and collaboration with Hiring, C&B, HR, and Accounting teams to align payroll operations with cross-functional impacts.
• Mentor and guide the payroll team to optimize performance and ensure process efficiency.
