Qualifications

• Diploma or Bachelors in Metallurgical/Mechanical Engineering or related technical field.
• 3–7 years of experience in steel manufacturing or heavy industrial operations, specifically melting shop environments.
• Hands-on supervision of frontline activities in steel melting processes; strong safety, quality and production focus.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and coordinate daily operations in Steel Melting Shop 2 for efficient melting processes.
• Monitor furnace performance and melting parameters to meet production schedules.
• Enforce strict safety protocols for shop floor personnel.
• Coordinate with maintenance teams for preventive maintenance and repairs.
• Analyze process data to identify operational improvements and cost reductions.
• Train and mentor junior staff on procedures, safety, and quality.
• Ensure compliance with environmental regulations and company policies.
• Coordinate with QA to address deviations or defects in melting.
• Prepare operational reports for management review.
• Engage in continuous improvement initiatives and best practice development.
