Job Title: Freight Broker

The Freight Broker is responsible for coordinating the movement of goods between shippers and carriers, ensuring timely and cost-effective transportation solutions. This role involves building relationships, negotiating rates, and managing logistics operations to meet client needs efficiently.

Key Responsibilities

• Establish & maintain strong relationships with shippers and carriers, ensuring mutual benefit & collaboration
• Negotiate shipping rates and contract terms with clients and carriers to secure favourable deals
• Plan & monitor the complete transportation process, from booking shipments to tracking deliveriesand ensuring compliance with all regulations
• Provide exceptional customer service by addressing inquiries, offering solutions to issues, and keeping clients informed about shipment status
• Maintain accurate records of all transactions, including contracts, shipping details, and financial figures to ensure proper documentation for all shipments
• Stay updated on market trends and freight rates to better advise clients and develop competitive pricing strategies
• Quickly address and resolve logistical challenges, including delays and shipping issues, to maintain operational efficiency.
