Job summary

NPCS seeks a freelance Project Engineer to provide semiconductor manufacturing consultancy. You will prepare complete manufacturing process flows (fab, OSAT, ATMP, wafer processing, backend) and develop Process Flow Diagrams (PFDs) and block layouts, recommending capacity, technology choices and equipment configuration.

You will draft Detailed Project Reports (DPRs) covering feasibility, process descriptions, plant and machinery specs, costing, utilities, staffing, schedules, and build project

Qualifications

• Experience with semiconductor manufacturing technologies.
• Expertise in techno-economic feasibility studies.
• Hands-on experience with financial modeling for industrial projects.
• Ability to operate as a freelance consultant.
• Strong documentation and presentation skills.
• Practical, industry-oriented approach, not purely academic.

Responsibilities

• Prepare complete manufacturing process flow for semiconductor projects (fab, OSAT, ATMP, wafer processing, backend).
• Develop Process Flow Diagrams (PFDs) and block layouts.
• Recommend plant capacity, technology selection, and equipment configuration.
• Define cleanroom requirements, utilities, HVAC, gases, chemicals, water and power systems.
• Support vendor evaluation for machinery and technology partners.
• Prepare Detailed Project Reports (DPRs) covering technical feasibility, process description, plant & machinery specs, costing, utilities, staffing and schedules.
• Prepare project financial models (CAPEX, OPEX, cost of production, profitability, cash flow, IRR, NPV, DSCR, break-even).
• Align project economics with investor, lender and government incentive expectations.
• Assist in mapping government incentives, PLI schemes, subsidies and policy benefits.
• Support compliance framework understanding (environmental, safety, statutory requirements).

Technical & Process Consultancy

• Prepare complete manufacturing process flow for semiconductor projects (fab, OSAT, ATMP, wafer processing, backend, etc.)
