Job summary

Citi in Pune is seeking an experienced Fraud Ops Manager to lead a team in developing fraud management policies and processes. You will guide analysts in risk-based decision making and ensure timely responses to client needs while maintaining compliance with regulatory and firm standards.

  • Ability to filter, prioritize and validate potentially complex and dynamic material from multiple sources.
  • Experience in PMP / SCRUM master's will be an added advantage.
  • Flexible for US/NAM shift timings including weekend working.
  • Work from office and onsite presence necessary on an ongoing basis per business requirements.

  • Evaluate subordinates' performance and make recommendations for pay increases, hiring and other personnel actions.
  • Provides evaluative judgment based on information analysis in complicated and unique situations to solve complex issues.
  • Ensure delivery of end results and contribute to the formulation / maintaining of procedures.
  • Assist to ensure essential procedures are followed and contribute to defining standards, and participate in change management initiatives.
  • Assist in stake-holder management by supporting in activities related to businesses' periodical reviews.

Job description

The Fraud Ops Manager is an intermediate management level position responsible for providing full leadership and direction to a team of employees in an effort to develop fraud management policies, processes and procedures to minimize the impact of fraud in coordination with the Operations - Services team. The overall objective of this role is to manage fraud losses by ensuring analysts make appropriate decisions using risk/reward balance methodology. Assist the team leader in execution / functioning of the day-to-day business requirements. Be sensitive to client requests, timely turn around and help/facilitate in providing the functional support.

Responsibilities:

  • Analyze fraud trends, conduct investigative research into fraud behavior and losses to determine the nature of fraud patterns
  • Manage department projects/ processes, including data sampling, modeling design, modeling development, validation, and implementation

  • Appropriately assess risk when business decisions are made, demonstrating particular consideration for the firm's reputation and safeguarding Citigroup, its clients and assets, by driving compliance with applicable laws, rules and regulations, adhering to Policy, applying sound ethical judgment regarding personal behavior, conduct and business practices, and escalating, managing and reporting control issues with transparency, as well as effectively supervise the activity of others and create accountability with those who fail to maintain these standards.

Qualifications:

  • 5-8 years of experience in a related role
  • Experience in applying and developing advanced statistical models
  • Demonstrated ability to filter, prioritize and validate potentially complex and dynamic material from multiple sources
  • Ability to persuade and influence others and negotiate with third parties
  • Consistently demonstrates clear and concise written and verbal communication
  • Demonstrated ability to remain unbiased in a diverse working environment
  • Experience in PMP / SCRUM master's will be an added advantage
  • Flexible for US/NAM shift timings including weekend working.
