Job summary

Docket AI India is seeking a highly capable Chief of Staff / BizOps lead to join the Founder’s Office in an in-office-first setup in Bengaluru. You will coordinate across HR, Finance and Operations, ensuring fast, structured execution and alignment across teams in India and the US.

You will be the Founder's “ears on the ground,” building processes, tracking tasks, and negotiating with vendors to protect timelines and priorities. This role requires strong ownership and operational rigor.

Docket AI builds AI agents for go-to-market teams. We act as a sales knowledge lake that turns scattered GTM knowledge into agents capable of prepping for calls, answering rep questions, and driving outbound and pipeline work. Our customers are fast-growing B2B SaaS companies looking to scale revenue activity without adding headcount.

The Role

We are looking for a highly capable, driven, and execution-oriented individual to join our Founder's Office. This role is a unique hybrid of a Chief of Staff and Business Operations (BizOps) lead, serving as the strategic and operational right-hand to the Founder.

Your primary mandate is to keep the company moving fast and bring structure to messy, cross-functional problems. You will provide critical oversight across HR, Finance, and Operations—acting as the connective tissue that ensures alignment, accountability, and seamless execution. You will gel deeply with the entire team, serving as the Founder's "ears on the ground."

This is an in-office-first culture based in HSR Layout. We expect you in the office (especially Tuesday through Thursday) and require the flexibility to manage the time-zone asymmetry between our US and India operations.

Key Responsibilities

• BizOps & Cross-Functional Unblocking: Act as a force multiplier for the Founder. Proactively identify bottlenecks and jump in to solve messy problems before being asked—whether that’s a stuck invoice, a lease negotiation, or a trademark objection.
• Drive to Execution: You don't just "review" documents; you drive them to execution. You are the last line of defense before a cap table entry is logged, a contract is signed, or a compliance deadline is met. There is no "close enough" here.
• Systematic Task Tracking: Keep the plan out of your head and in a system. You must maintain a rigorous task-tracking system where every workstream has an owner, status, and next step visible on demand.
• The "Ears on the Ground": Build deep trust with the wider team. Keep a pulse on company morale, operational friction, and day-to-day challenges, surfacing critical insights directly to the Founder.
• Flawless Operational Workflows: Take extreme ownership of broad, disparate domains. You will manage everything from finance bridging (India/US), cap table management (Carta), and contract negotiations, to ensuring complex executive travel planning is handled perfectly.
• Vendor & Counterparty Negotiation: Hold the line for Docket AI. You must be comfortable pushing back on vendors and negotiating hard on terms (e.g., leases, liabilities, lock-ins).

• Run off mental lists or scattered Slack DMs instead of a structured tracking system.
• Need a clean brief or defined process before you act. (You are here to build the process).
• Assume someone downstream will catch errors or treat the "final checkpoint" as someone else's job.
• Are conflict-averse and uncomfortable saying "no" to counterparties or negotiating hard.
• Want a narrow, single-lane scope (just legal, or just finance).
• Need a fully synchronous 9-to-5 schedule and cannot flex to overlap with US hours.

Operational Acumen

Strong financial literacy and process-building skills. Familiarity with startup operational tools (e.g., managing equity on Carta, billing systems) is highly desired.
