Job summary

GPTfy is seeking a Forward Deployed Engineer to embed with customer teams, owning data integration, connectors, and custom transforms. You will deploy across customer environments, including cloud, on-premise, or air-gapped setups, and tackle real problems with AI-assisted debugging and validation.

You will work hands-on with Apex and Python, communicate clearly with architects, and travel daily to Mumbai, Thane, and Navi Mumbai for in-person engagements.

Qualifications

• 2–3 years of hands-on technical delivery, customer-facing
• Experience with Salesforce partners, SI or consultancy
• Apex-first integration approach; ServiceNow, Java, .NET or Python welcome
• Comfortable declaratively—objects, flows, permission sets
• Strong data and volume awareness; production incidents are volume-related
• Excellent English communication, able to explain constraints to architects
• Daily onsite across Mumbai, Thane, Navi Mumbai—fully in-person

Responsibilities

• Own data handling: parsers that land customer exports and deduplicate across systems
• Manage live connectors and their APIs (ServiceNow, Jira, auth, pagination, retries)
• Develop custom transforms when configuration runs out
• Handle deployment with customer cloud, on-premise or air-gapped

What a forward deployed engineer is:

You configure and build for a customer you actually meet - you're in their office, embedded with their team, and focus on their success.

What you own:

• The data. Parsers that land a customer's exports in the platform's model, then de-duplicate across systems and match records to an inventory that's rarely kept tidy
• The connections. Live connectors — their APIs, ServiceNow, Jira, auth, pagination, retries, alerts when a feed goes quiet
• The code. Custom transforms where configuration runs out — the first connector for a tool that's new to the platform
• The deployment. Integrate with customer's own cloud, sometimes on-premise and air-gapped

We look for solid Apex/Python experience because that's where the integration instincts get built — auth, retries, governor limits, sandbox-to-prod discipline. Those instincts transfer directly; only the syntax changes.

What we're looking for:

• 2–3 years of hands-on technical delivery, customer-facing — Salesforce partner, SI or consultancy

Real integration engineering. Apex first; ServiceNow, Java, .NET or Python welcome too

• Comfortable declaratively too — objects, flows, permission sets. You configure as much as you code
• Clear thinking about data and volume — every production surprise has been a volume one
• Clear, confident English — you'll explain constraints to a customer's architects
• AI is a working method here, not a feature you switch on. The bar goes beyond configuring a packaged assistant — you should already use AI to inspect data, debug real code, and test its output rather than accept it as-is.
• In the interview you'll work a real problem with AI and say what you trusted and rejected.
