Job summary

Larsen & Toubro in Chennai is seeking a Formwork Front Line Supervisor to oversee day-to-day formwork activities on high-rise residential projects. You will guide and supervise workmen and subcontractors involved in Mivan/Aluform erection, alignment, fixing, shifting and dismantling.

The role requires ensuring adherence to drawings, sequences, quality standards and safety, while coordinating with reinforcement, MEP and civil teams to avoid delays and rework.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and coordinate day-to-day formwork activities for high-rise residential projects, ensuring planned activities are completed as per schedule.
• Guide and monitor workmen/subcontractors involved in Mivan/Aluform erection, alignment, fixing, shifting and dismantling.
• Ensure formwork is executed as per approved drawings, construction sequence, quality standards, dimensional requirements and safety procedures.
• Monitor manpower deployment, workmen productivity and floor cycle targets to achieve planned construction milestones.
• Coordinate closely with reinforcement, MEP and civil teams to ensure proper sequencing and avoid clashes, delays and rework.
• Check proper line, level, dimensions and alignment of formwork before concreting and coordinate for necessary inspections.
• Ensure proper handling, cleaning, maintenance, identification and stacking of formwork materials for efficient reuse.
• Support the Formwork Engineer in daily planning, material requirements, progress tracking, measurements and reporting.
• Identify site-level constraints and execution issues and coordinate with the concerned team for timely resolution.
• Ensure adherence to site EHS requirements, housekeeping practices and safe working procedures by all workmen under supervision.
