Qualifications

• BE in ECE/EEE/E&I with 0–2 years of experience as a Component Engineer in manufacturing.
• Willingness to work night shifts.
• Hands-on experience with NPI and BOM management, and semiconductor sourcing/analysis.

Responsibilities

• Enter and maintain component data, manufacturer information and approved vendor lists in the global component database.
• Create a component database covering Electrical/Electronic and indirect materials, and review component parameter attributes from datasheets.
• Validate MPNs and provide alternates.
• Monitor component EOL and manage component obsolescence.
• Work as part of a cross-functional team implementing product component changes.
• Work closely with Engineering and materials teams to review product updates and modifications.
• Respond to business partners and customers on queries about component specifications.
• Meet targets set for all process metrics.
• Generate and circulate reports and dashboards on time.
• Train new and existing team members on relevant tools and topics on an ongoing basis.
• Perform root cause analysis to speed up resolution of service issues.
• Identify, recommend and implement operational efficiencies in procurement processes.
• Prepare customized reports to analyze and drive process improvements.

Experience We Are Looking For

• B.E (ECE/EEE/E&I) graduate with 0-2 years of experience as a Component Engineer in manufacturing setup, preferably in the EMS industry.
• Flexibility to work night shifts.
• Hands-on experience in NPI (New Product Introduction) and BOM (Bill of Materials) management, and semiconductor sourcing/analysis.
• Working knowledge of ERP, preferably BAAN.
• Hands-on experience with any PLM software.
• Good Microsoft Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint and Word skills.
• Strong oral and written English communication.
• Good analytical skills, logical thinking, and coaching and mentoring skills.
