Job summary

DLX Transpotation in Bengaluru seeks a DOT compliance specialist to manage day-to-day regulatory requirements and monitor driver logs for HOS compliance.

The role involves maintaining driver documents, coordinating with mechanics for breakdowns, and supporting audits while ensuring safety policies are followed across a distributed fleet.

Qualifications

• Experience in U.S. trucking safety, DOT compliance, or fleet safety is a plus.
• Experience with ELD/logbook systems preferred.
• Experience managing driver and truck documentation.
• Ability to handle breakdowns and coordinate repairs with drivers and vendors.
• Strong organizational and follow-up skills.
• Ability to work under pressure and handle multiple issues simultaneously.
• Excellent English communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Hindi fluency is preferred/required for effective communication with drivers.
• Comfortable communicating with drivers, mechanics, customers, and management.

Responsibilities

• Manage day-to-day DOT and FMCSA compliance requirements.
• Monitor and review driver logbooks/ELD records for HOS compliance.
• Follow up on HOS violations, log violations, and other safety-related issues.
• Maintain and verify driver qualification files (DQF) and driver documents.
• Ensure driver licenses, medical cards, MVRs, training records, and other required documents are up to date.
• Maintain and monitor truck and trailer documentation, including registrations, inspections, permits, and other compliance documents.
• Coordinate and follow up on truck breakdowns and roadside issues with drivers, mechanics, vendors, and management.
• Track preventive maintenance and inspection-related issues and ensure timely follow-up.
• Monitor roadside inspections, violations, citations, and corrective actions.
• Assist with DOT audits and compliance reviews.
• Communicate with drivers regarding safety policies, violations, documentation, and compliance requirements.
• Maintain accurate safety records and prepare regular safety/compliance reports.
• Identify potential safety risks and take appropriate corrective action.
• Coordinate with operations, maintenance, and management to resolve safety and compliance issues.
• Ensure company safety policies are properly communicated and followed by drivers.
