Job summary

PeopleStrong is seeking an experienced Exploration Geologist to lead mine planning and safety-focused operations in a mining environment. The role involves coordinating annual and monthly plans, ensuring quality parameters, and timely statutory submissions.

You will work with IMS, Kaizen practices and Datamine tools to optimize reserves, assess deposits and drive sustainable production in line with regulatory guidelines.

Qualifications

• Qualification in geology or mining; M.Sc.(Tech) in Applied Geology is required.
• Experience with mine planning and scheduling processes.
• Knowledge of IMS, safety standards and statutory compliance.
• Ability to monitor critical parameters like SO3, Cl, Fe and LSF.

Responsibilities

• Prepare annual/monthly mine planning and scheduling to ensure timely supply and budgeting.
• Maintain quality parameters and coordinated data for deposits and reserves.
• Ensure 100% safety compliance and participate in safety trainings and audits.
• Compile data for mining plans, schemes and statutory reports (GPCB, IBM, MoEF).
• Oversee weighbridge operations, royalty passes and daily weighment tracking.
• Update reserve estimates and conduct core drilling and block modeling.
• Identify new mining areas and adapt plans to quality requirements and permits.

Job Description

Job Purpose

To Prepare annual/monthly mine planning & scheduling to execute monthly/daily blend plan to enable supply of right quality and quantity of Limestone to stock piles and to implement scheme of prospecting, carry out investigation and calculate deposite reserves with its grade useful for making budget decisions and for making forecast, to ensure on time submission of monthly & annual returns, daily royalty management & other statutory obligations as required by Rule 55 of MCDR 2017.

Maintaining critical multiple parameters like SO3, Cl, Fe & LSF simulatanesously in limestone is the challenge for running the plants due to high variation in deposit quality laterally/horizontally.

KRA1 System Management

• (Effective implementation of all IMS and other systems requirements through involvement for continuous improvement in plant working condition & quality standards) To implement improvement project to reduce repetitive problems/breakdown or losses.
• Timely submission of Kaizen, OPL, Good to fine, suggestion on system
• Developing and sustaining Model area in respective sections
• 100% active participation in respective KFA & GRT meetings and giving inputs related to bring new technology, innovation and improvements towards productivity. Conduct awareness programmes down the level team
• To know about IMS and other systems requirement and documents for Non-Conformity in section during internal and external audits or assessments.
• Implementation of critical spares & consumable SOP without any defilement
• Identify & arrange rectification of leakage points/unsafe points along with monitor & take corrective action for emission levels.

KRA2 SHE (Safety, Health & Environment) along with Sustainability initiatives Ensuring 100% compliance of all safety standards and all applicable recommendations related to their concerned area.

• Educating team about “I know my job”, “I know the hazards associated with my job and I applied control measures” & “I escalate to my senior” among manpower deployed in sections/department manpower including peer, WB & CL manpower
• Timely conducting scheduled SO round and reporting of accidents, incidents and near misses on occurrences in the area of concern in system.
• To conduct daily Tool Box Talk as schedule and before start the job any critical job along with SWP
• Active participation in safety training, safety sub committees, standard champions meeting and any safety event
• Ensure good housekeeping, limited use of power, no leakage of water, oil, air etc and reporting concerned if any abnormalities for corrective action
• Adhering of all safety precautions on the site and off the site
• Replicating good practice for saving environment for long run sustainability and creating awareness among manpower to save guard natural resources.

KRA3 Mining Lease and Statutory Permissions

• Collect & compile data for Mining Plans & Mining Scheme along with progressive Mine Closure Plans preparation.
• Submission of compliances wrt mining plan/scheme of mining & progressive mine closure plans.
• Ensure that statutory payments like Surface rent, dead rent, advance royalty, District Mineral Fund (DMF), National Mineral Exploration Trust are made.

KRA4 Operation of Weighbridge

• Ensure that SSP and Printer cartridge avalilable in stock for smooth operation.
• Preparying a Roster for all DEO’s.
• Coordinate all DEO’s in every shift for issuing royalty pass as per actual weighment.
• Keeping daily track of Royalty – actual vs Booked.

KRA5 Compliance under statutory requirements

• Collect & compile data for filing of returns/forms, self-assessment as per guidelines of GPCB, MoEF, IBM and CGM.
• Submit online & offline monthly and annual returns in compliance to MCDR, MCR, GMMCR.
• Collect & compile data for submission of Self-Assessment for limestone mines on IBM Website for 5 Star rating.
• Ensure the updation of in-house compliance manager.

KRA6 Resource optimization & Reserve estimation

• Compilation of data on daily basis.
• Update reserve figure, grade wise at the end of every year.
• Execute core drilling, carry out investigation, feed the data in software, prepare block model and calculate deposite reserves.

KRA7 Mines Development

• Identify & Explore new areas for Mining with the help of Datamine software as per approved Mining Plan.
• Modification in existing Mining Plan if required as per quality requirement.
• Reserve analysis & suggesting areas for land capturing/purchase for future mining.

KRA8 ROM Quality management

• Collect samples from Mines on daily Basis ,make a blend plan and provide to shift engineer for making pile.
• Assist shift incharge for machine deployment in maintaining shift quality average.
