Job summary

JSW Cement in India is seeking a Mine Supervisor to manage shift operations in the Nandyal limestone mines. You will oversee extraction, safety, and timely limestone supply to the plant, while coordinating with internal teams and contractors. The role requires mining qualifications, strong planning, and cost-control focus, with continual improvement for zero-harm targets.

Qualifications

• Must hold BE Mining with Second Class Certificate and have relevant experience.
• Diploma in Mining with Second Class Certificate with several years of field experience may be considered.
• Demonstrated knowledge of safety practices and regulatory compliance.

Responsibilities

• Ensure mining shift operation runs safely and efficiently.
• Oversee extraction of limestone and ore as per plant needs.
• Maintain quality and quantity of limestone supplied to the plant.
• Manage mine planning and budgeting to optimize cost and output.
• Coordinate with contractors and internal teams for smooth operations.

Purpose - Why does this role exist?

Responsible for;

1. Mining Shift Operation.
2. Ensuring safety of man and machineries working under him (ZERO HARM)
3. Handling of limestone and O/B as per plant requirement
4. Supply of required quality of limestone to plant.
5. Mines Safety week & MEMC Week celebration.
6. Daily updating the shift and other records
7. Mine Planning
8. Mine Budgeting

1. Ensure the Safety Records according to JSW standards like Zero Incidents

2. Ensure timely delivery of Quality limestone to the plant.

3. Ensure supply sufficient Quantity of limestone to the plant.

4. Ensure reducing the Mining Cost.

5. Ensure Continuous Improvement in the working

Educational Background and Work Experience

1. BE Mining with Second Class Certificate with 4 years Experience

2. Diploma in Mining with Second Class Certificate with min. 7 years experience
