Job summary

Jindal Steel Limited is seeking a mining operations professional to execute daily activities in alignment with the approved mine plan. The role requires supervising drilling, blasting, loading, hauling, and equipment deployment while meeting production targets.

Candidate should hold a Mining Engineering degree (Diploma/B.E./B.Tech) and a First class Mine Manager's Certificate, with strong DGMS knowledge and safety leadership.

Qualifications

• Formal mining engineering education (Diploma/B.E./B.Tech).
• Valid First class Mine Manager's Certificate of Competency is required.
• Solid knowledge of DGMS and Mines Act regulations.
• Experience in mine planning and production monitoring.

Responsibilities

• Execute daily mining operations as per the approved mine plan.
• Ensure achievement of daily, weekly, and monthly production targets.
• Supervise excavation, drilling, blasting, loading, hauling, and dumping activities.
• Coordinate with contractors, equipment operators, and supporting departments.
• Monitor deployment and utilization of Heavy Earth Moving Machinery (HEMM).
• Ensure compliance with safety regulations, SOPs, and statutory mining rules.
• Conduct daily toolbox talks and safety briefings.
• Monitor manpower deployment and shift-wise attendance.

Job description

Role & responsibilities

• Execute daily mining operations as per the approved mine plan.
• Ensure achievement of daily, weekly, and monthly production targets.
• Supervise excavation, drilling, blasting, loading, hauling, and dumping activities.
• Coordinate with contractors, equipment operators, and supporting departments.
• Monitor deployment and utilization of Heavy Earth Moving Machinery (HEMM).
• Ensure compliance with all safety regulations, SOPs, and statutory mining rules.
• Conduct daily toolbox talks and safety briefings.
• Monitor manpower deployment and shift-wise attendance.
• Ensure proper maintenance and availability of mining equipment.
• Inspect haul roads, benches, dump yards, and working faces regularly.
• Maintain production, equipment utilization, and shift reports.
• Coordinate with the geology, survey, mechanical, electrical, and safety departments.
• Report operational issues and recommend corrective actions.
• Ensure compliance with environmental standards, dust suppression, and waste management practices.
• Participate in safety audits, inspections, and incident investigations.
• Maintain discipline and productivity at the mine site.

Preferred candidate profile :
