Job summary

Blue Star Limited in Pune is seeking an experienced Embedded Firmware Engineer to develop firmware for controllers in HVAC&R products and to maintain existing firmware. You will drive technology development through electronics and firmware, translating system requirements into firmware specifications.

You will collaborate with the hardware, project and manufacturing teams to optimize firmware performance, interfaces, and protocols, and you may prototype new HVAC technologies while improving boot

Qualifications

• 5+ years hands-on embedded design and development experience.
• Strong C/C++ skills on MCUs/SoCs in Windows/Linux environments.
• Knowledge of I2C, SPI, TCP/IP, RS232/RS485 and Modbus is a plus.
• Exposure to Boot loaders and firmware debugging tools desirable.

What Your Role Entails

1.To be responsible to develop firmware for new projects as well as maintain existing Firmware.

2. Also responsible for new Technological development in Products through Electronics and Firmware.

What You’ll Do:

• irmware development for Controllers used in all types of Blue Star Products using tools like LDRA, Jira, etc
• Firmware development for Special Controllers with features like BMS Compatibility, GPRS/Ethernet Connectivity., etc.
• Interaction with Project Leader / Logic team to understand System requirement / Market requirement and convert it into Firmware Specification / Algorithms
• Interact with Electronic Hardware team to understand Hardware of Controllers and in turn optimize Firmware to meet System Requirements
• Prototype new technologies in HVAC industry.
• Good to have experience in development of Boot loader
• Software developments which communicates with Controllers through various communication method like Modbus over RS485, RS232 communication and other UART communication.
• Interaction with Manufacturing team / Vendor development team / Field team to get Feedback and in turn maintain / upgrade Firmware of Existing / Field products.

Your success is grounded in

• Education: B.E/B.Tech/M.E/M.Tech - Electronics/ Electrical/Instrumentation
• 5+ years of hands on experience in Design and development of Embedded systems using Micro controllers like Microchip, Renesas, ARM (any one) based controllers like ST, ATMEL, etc. in C / Assembly language
• Understanding of various Software Languages like C/C++ on Windows/Linux platform,
• Good to have: Python, RTOS
• Should have strong knowledge of various protocols such as I2C, SPI, TCP/IP, RS232/RS485, Modbus /Bacnet.
• Interface of controllers with external interfaces like Temperature sensors, Pressure sensors, AC/BLDC motors, Inverter Compressors, Stepper Motors; Displays like 7-segments, LCD displays, Touchscreen Displays, etc
• Should have used industry standard development and support process in execution of projects

Where you’ll be

This role is based in Hinjawadi, Pune but initial few months the role will be based in Kapurbawdi, Thane.
