Job summary

Blue Star Limited in Hinjewadi, Pune, India seeks a PCB Design Engineer to drive end-to-end PCB design activities for R&D projects, including schematic capture, board layout, and routing.

You will generate manufacturing data packages, maintain footprints, and participate in design reviews to ensure manufacturability. This role collaborates with mechanical teams and requires BE/B.Tech in Electronics and hands-on tool experience.

Qualifications

• Minimum 4 years hands-on PCB design experience with Electronics degree.
• Proficient in schematic capture, layout, routing and DR C checks.

Responsibilities

• Complete PCB schematic capture, layout, and routing for R&D projects.
• Manage component footprint libraries and maintain design templates.
• Generate detailed manufacturing data packages, including Gerber files and panelization data.
• Conduct design reviews and perform error checks to ensure manufacturability.
• Coordinate with mechanical engineers to resolve PCB structural issues.
• Maintain and update design checklists at each stage of the design process.
• Troubleshoot PCB manufacturing issues as they arise.

The role is responsible for driving end-to-end PCB design activities, including schematic capture, board layout, component placement, routing, and design validation. The position ensures the timely delivery of accurate, high quality PCB manufacturing data packages that meet project requirements and support ongoing R&D initiatives

What Your Role Entails

What You’ll Do:

• 1. Complete PCB schematic capture, layout, and routing for R&D projects.
• 2. Manage component footprint libraries and maintain design templates.
• 3. Generate detailed manufacturing data packages, including Gerber files and panelization data.
• 4. Conduct design reviews and perform error checks to ensure manufacturability.
• 5. Coordinate with mechanical engineers to resolve PCB structural issues.
• 6. Maintain and update design checklists at each stage of the design process.
• 7. Troubleshoot PCB manufacturing issues as they arise.

Your success is grounded in

• 1. PCB Design Expertise – Hands-on experience in designing multilayer PCBs using industry-standard tools such as Pads Professional, Mentor Graphics, and Altium Designer. Skilled in schematic capture, component placement, routing, design rule checks (DRC), and ensuring signal integrity and manufacturability with minimum 4 years of experience along with B.E/B.Tech in Electronics
• 2. Manufacturing Documentation & Output Files – Proficient in generating Gerber files, Bill of Materials (BOM), and PCB Assembly Drawings. Capable of preparing complete fabrication and assembly documentation packages that comply with industry standards and vendor requirements.
