Job summary

OCS Group in Bengaluru is seeking a Fire Safety Technician to monitor and operate Fire Alarm Control Panels and fire protection systems, ensuring ongoing safety and compliance.

You will conduct routine inspections of extinguishers, hydrants, sprinklers, pumps, and detectors, attend alarms, manage logs, and coordinate with maintenance teams for repairs and testing.

This role requires strict adherence to EHS standards, reporting hazards, and supporting evacuation drills.

Responsibilities

  • Monitor and operate Fire Alarm Control Panels (FACP) and fire protection systems.
  • Conduct routine inspection of fire extinguishers, hydrants, sprinklers, hose reels, pumps, and smoke detectors.
  • Ensure all fire safety equipment is functional and maintained as per statutory requirements.
  • Attend fire alarms and emergency situations promptly and take appropriate action.
  • Maintain daily logbooks and records of fire system testing and inspections.
  • Perform periodic testing of fire pumps, jockey pumps, diesel engines, and associated equipment.
  • Coordinate with maintenance teams and external agencies for fire system repairs and servicing.
  • Conduct fire drills and assist in emergency evacuation procedures.
  • Ensure compliance with fire safety regulations, site SOPs, and EHS standards.
  • Report any fire hazards, unsafe conditions, or equipment deficiencies to management.
