Job summary

Jaguar Security Services in India is seeking a dedicated Fire & Safety Officer to monitor and maintain fire protection systems, ensuring operational readiness. The role involves regular testing of alarms, pumps, hydrants, and suppression systems, plus rapid response to emergencies and coordination with multiple teams.

The ideal candidate will have a Diploma/Degree in Fire & Safety or related field and a minimum of 3 years’ experience in Fire & Safety Operations, with a valid certification

Qualifications

• Diploma or degree in Fire & Safety, Fire Engineering, or Fire Fighting required.
• Minimum 3 years of Fire & Safety Operations experience.
• Valid Fire & Safety certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Monitor, inspect, and maintain all fire protection and life-safety systems to ensure continuous operational readiness.
• Conduct regular inspections and weekly trial runs of Fire Alarm Systems, Water Curtain Systems, Fire Pumps, Fire Hydrant Systems, and Foam Suppression Systems.
• Respond promptly to fire alarms, medical emergencies, lift entrapments, and other emergency situations, coordinating with relevant stakeholders.
• Identify and report fire hazards, unsafe conditions, damaged equipment, and blocked emergency exits, and follow up for timely corrective actions.
• Ensure all firefighting equipment, tools, and emergency response apparatus are properly maintained, tested, and ready for use at all times.
• Coordinate with Security, Safety, Technical, Facility Management, and Emergency Response Teams during emergencies, drills, and special events.
• Conduct fire safety awareness sessions and mock drills for in-house security personnel at least twice every month.
• Maintain accurate records of inspections, system testing, emergency incidents, training programs, and mock drills as per client and statutory requirements.
• Verify the availability and condition of emergency evacuation routes, assembly points, emergency lighting, and exit signage.
• Ensure compliance with applicable fire safety regulations, statutory requirements, and client-specific safety standards.
• Assist in investigating fire incidents, near-miss cases, and safety violations, and submit reports with corrective and preventive actions.
• Support audits, compliance inspections, and fire safety assessments conducted by client and regulatory authorities.
• Maintain emergency contact lists and ensure readiness of emergency response procedures and communication protocols.
• Perform any other fire and life-safety-related duties assigned by the management.
