Job summary

Cushman & Wakefield is seeking a Fire Technician for American Express India campus in Gurgaon. The role involves daily safety checks, log maintenance, and coordination with the Fire & Safety team to ensure all firefighting systems operate correctly.

You will be responsible for inspections, reporting abnormalities, and adhering to EHS guidelines while maintaining detailed records for safety compliance.

Responsibilities

• Report for work at right time. Sign in/out in attendance register in Maintenance Room.
• Ensure daily checks per checklist and verify sheets with Fire Officer.
• Check status of Floor Fire panel and ensure parameters are in safe mode.
• Inspect all building utility areas and fire pumps; coordinate repairs via vendor if needed.
• Perform building rounds as directed by Fire Safety Officer (FSO).
• Update daily log sheets and checklists; follow safety norms (EHS, LOTO, ladder management, permit system).
• Familiarize with all firefighting systems and provide feedback to FSO for smooth site operations.
• Undertake tasks assigned by FSO and understand contingency plans.

Roles & Responsibilities

• Report for work at right time. Put in & out time with signature in attendance register kept in the Maintenance Room.
• Ensure daily checks are as per checklist and ensure that all sheets are getting verified by the Fire Officer.
• Check the status of the Floor Fire panel whether all parameters are in safe mode or not.
• Check all the utility area in the building.
• Check all fire pumps of the building if found any not working then rectify it at the earliest. (through vendor)
• Take round of the building after a regular interval of time as directed by FSO.
• For any abnormality in the Fire System, FSO and rectify. Be alert in system operation.
• Ensure the daily log sheet and check lists are being filled up and verified.
• Follow the safety norms of EHS, Ladder management, Chemical management, LOTO, Ladder management, work permit system etc.
• Ensure that you are familiar with all firefighting systems of building.
• Keep FSO update by giving feed backs on all above points for smooth running of site/Facility.
• Undertake other tasks allotted by the FSO.
• Ensure contingency plan are well understood and kept ready to be put in action when needed.
• All FHC, Hose boxes -Details, leakage, Spare, damages check & Record update.
• Fire pump room, sprinkler System Details & Records update.
• All Detection System check and report if found faulty.
