Job summary

Blue Star in Chennai is seeking a Site Supervisor to lead the installation of fire protection systems, including hydrants, sprinklers, pumps and piping. You will ensure work aligns with approved drawings, specs, and schedules, and interpret layout drawings and technical docs.

You will monitor fabrication and installation, coordinate with contractors and other MEP teams, and perform site inspections for safety and quality. You will assist in tests and commissioning and prepare daily site reports.

Responsibilities

• Supervise the installation of fire protection systems, including hydrant systems, sprinkler systems, fire pumps, and related piping networks.
• Ensure site activities are carried out as per approved drawings, specifications, and project schedules.
• Read and interpret fire protection layout drawings, shop drawings, and technical specifications.
• Monitor pipe fabrication, erection, supports, valve installation, and equipment positioning.
• Coordinate with contractors, subcontractors, consultants, and other MEP teams.
• Conduct site inspections and ensure compliance with quality and safety standards.
• Assist in pressure testing, flushing, testing, and commissioning of fire protection systems.
• Prepare daily progress reports, material requirements, and site documentation.
• Identify site issues and coordinate with the project team for timely resolution.
• Ensure proper material utilization and adherence to project timelines.
