Job summary

Everest Technical Services seeks a Design Engineer - Fire Protection to join our Fire Engineering Team in Pune. You will support projects, develop work scopes, manage deliverables, and ensure high quality with timely delivery.

The role offers hybrid or remote work arrangements and requires 4+ years of fire protection design experience, with proficiency in Revit, AutoCAD, Navisworks, and hydraulic calculations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering.
• Experience on UK, US, Middle East, Irish or European projects.
• 4+ years of fire protection design experience.
• Experience coordinating with other disciplines.
• Proficient with Revit, Navisworks, AutoCAD, and hydraulic calculation software.
• Experience in large commercial Mechanical Building Services systems.
• Thorough knowledge of Mechanical design and engineering techniques.

Responsibilities

• Capable of handling projects and clients with good communication.
• Concept design and implementation for ongoing projects.
• Design fire protection systems based on standards like NFPA, VdS, EN 12845 & FM Global.
• Modelling, review, and coordination in 3D & 2D using Revit, AutoCAD and Navisworks.
• Preparing sprinkler layout considering obstructions, type of system (Wet, Pre-action, Dry, Mist or Deluge).
• Coordination with other MEP services and with client; monitoring progress.
• QA/QC of fire protection services.
• Planning project timelines and work schedules.
• Preparing project calculations like sprinkler hydraulics, hydrant system calculations and pipe sizing.
• Preparing complete sheet package of Fire protection services for fabrication/installation including floor plans, sections, legends, schedules & details using Revit.
• Preparing detailed layouts for fire protection systems with LOD 500/LOI 6 like valve rooms and pump houses.

Job description

The role of Design Engineer - Fire Protection will work within the Fire Engineering Team where they will be required to provide ongoing support to projects as well as develop and manage various work scopes. You will assist in the project management and design of our projects. You will be responsible for the timely delivery of our agreed deliverables and to ensure a very high level of quality is maintained.

Roles and Responsibilities

• Capable of handling the projects and client individually with good communication skills
• Concept designing and implementation for undergoing projects.
• Design of Fire protection systems based on standards like NFPA, VdS, EN 12845 & FM global etc.
• Modelling, Review, and coordination in 3D & 2D using Revit, AutoCAD and Navisworks software's respectively.
• Preparing sprinkler layout considering obstructions, type of system (Wet, Pre-action, Dry, Mist or Deluge) and coordination.

• Preparing detailed layouts for fire protection systems with LOD 500/LOI 6 like valve rooms and pump houses.

Necessary Requirement

• A bachelors degree in mechanical engineering
• Experience in working on UK, US, Middle East, Irish or European projects.
• The Fire Protection Engineer will possess 4+ years' experience.
• Experience coordinating/interfacing with other disciplines within the organization.
• Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office, Revit, Navisworks, AutoCAD, and any hydraulic calculation software.
• Experience in working on large commercial Mechanical Building Services systems.
• Position requires thorough knowledge of Mechanical design and engineering techniques.
