Job summary

LEAMS Education Services (Gamma Holdings Ltd.) invites a Fire Fighting Engineer to design, plan, and execute fire protection systems for building projects in Kochi, Kerala. You will supervise installation, review drawings and BOQs, and coordinate with consultants, MEP teams, and contractors to ensure compliance with NBC, IS standards, and local fire department requirements.

Qualifications

• B.Tech/B.E./Diploma in Mechanical Engineering with focus on fire protection is preferred.
• Certification or training in fire protection systems is an added advantage.

Responsibilities

• Design, plan, and execute fire fighting and fire protection systems for building and construction projects.
• Supervise the installation of fire fighting systems, including fire hydrants, sprinkler systems, fire pumps, hose reels, fire extinguishers, and fire alarm systems.
• Review fire fighting drawings, layouts, technical specifications, and BOQs.
• Coordinate with consultants, architects, MEP teams, contractors, and project managers to ensure smooth project execution.
• Ensure all fire fighting installations comply with NBC provisions, IS standards, and local fire department requirements.
• Monitor site activities to ensure quality, safety, and adherence to approved drawings and project specifications.
• Conduct site inspections and verify the installation, testing, and commissioning of fire fighting equipment and systems.
• Prepare material requisitions, quantity estimates, technical submittals, and progress reports.
• Coordinate hydrostatic testing, flushing, pump performance testing, and other required system tests.
• Identify site issues, resolve technical problems, and ensure timely completion of assigned work.
• Maintain daily site reports, inspection records, testing reports, and as-built drawings.
• Coordinate with vendors and subcontractors for material procurement, installation, and commissioning.
• Assist in preparing project documentation required for inspections and approvals from Fire and Rescue Services Department.
• Monitor material usage, manpower deployment, and project costs to minimize wastage and maintain productivity.
• Ensure proper implementation of site safety procedures and compliance with project quality standards.
