Johnson Controls Ltd in Mumbai is seeking a Fire Equipment Service Technician to join its maritime service team. You will diagnose, repair, and commission fire detection and fire extinguishing systems on vessels, ensuring safety and compliance with marine standards.

You should have a Diploma or Degree in Instrumentation or Electronics Engineering, 2–4 years hands-on experience, and willingness to travel across Indian ports to service ships.

What you will do

• Diagnose and rectify defects in Fire Detection and Alarm Systems (FDAS) and control panels onboard ships.

• Interpret manuals, P&ID diagrams, and electrical drawings for troubleshooting.
• Apply control philosophy knowledge to implement retrofit solutions.
• Analyze onboard logbook data to identify and resolve system defects.
• Ensure compliance with marine safety standards and operational excellence.

What we look for

• Education: Diploma/Degree in Instrumentation or Electronics Engineering
• Experience: 2–4 years of hands‑on service experience
• Required Expertise in servicing Addressable Fire Detection Systems and Fire Extinguishing Systems (CO₂, FM200, Water Mist, Foam).
• Strong troubleshooting and problem‑solving skills.
• Excellent communication and report‑writing abilities.
• Willingness to travel across Indian ports.
• Preferred Knowledge of conventional/addressable fire detection systems.
• Experience with naval and marine ship systems.
