Job summary

Qualifications

Role Description The Fire Alarm Technician role is a full-time, on-site position based in Chennai. This role involves installing, configuring, and maintaining fire alarm and related low-voltage safety systems at client locations. Daily activities include conducting inspections and testing of alarm systems, diagnosing and repairing faults, and ensuring systems comply with relevant safety standards and regulations. The technician will document service work, prepare basic reports, and communicate findings and recommendations to clients and internal teams. The role also includes providing responsive customer service, supporting emergency calls or urgent service requests, and collaborating with other technicians to ensure reliable and safe operation of all systems.
Qualifications

• Candidates should possess skills in Low Voltage Engineering and Alarm Systems for installation, configuration, and maintenance of fire alarm and safety equipment.
• Candidates should possess strong Troubleshooting skills to diagnose, repair, and test fire alarm systems and related components.
• Candidates should possess knowledge of Life Safety standards and fire safety regulations to ensure systems meet compliance requirements.
• Candidates should possess Customer Service skills to interact professionally with clients, explain technical issues clearly, and support after-sales service.
• Relevant technical diploma or certification in electronics, electrical, or fire safety systems is preferred.
• Experience working with commercial or industrial fire alarm systems and safety equipment is an advantage.
• Ability to read technical drawings, follow installation manuals, and use basic hand tools and testing equipment safely.
• Strong attention to detail, reliability, and willingness to work on-site at various client locations in and around Chennai.
