Job summary

CTL Infocom Pvt Ltd in Kochi seeks a Fire Alarm & BMS Engineer to design, install, configure and maintain fire alarm systems and BMS across commercial and industrial sites.

You will conduct site surveys, supervise installations, perform testing and commissioning, and troubleshoot faults in panels, detectors, controllers and field devices, coordinating with project managers, facility teams and vendors to meet safety and client specs.

Qualifications

• Diploma or degree in Electrical, Electronics, Instrumentation, or related engineering.
• 3–7 years of relevant experience in FAS and BMS.
• Hands-on experience with leading FAS & BMS OEM platforms.
• Knowledge of BACnet, Modbus and other standard BMS communication protocols.
• Good site coordination and problem-solving skills.
• OEM certification/training will be an added advantage.

Role Description

This is a full-time, on-site role for a Fire Alarm & BMS Engineer based in Kochi. The Fire Alarm & BMS Engineer will design, install, configure, and maintain fire alarm systems and Building Management Systems in commercial and industrial facilities. Daily responsibilities include conducting site surveys, supervising system installation, performing testing and commissioning, and troubleshooting faults in fire alarm panels, sensors, controllers, and field devices. The role involves coordinating with project managers, facility teams, and vendors to ensure compliance with safety standards, regulatory requirements, and client specifications. The engineer will prepare technical documentation, maintenance reports, and system upgrade proposals, while providing timely on-site support for service calls and emergency issues.

Qualifications

• Strong knowledge of Building Management and Building Management Systems, with hands-on experience in integrating and maintaining BMS solutions.
• Understanding of Management Systems and Building Services, including coordination of HVAC, lighting, security, and fire alarm systems within a centralized platform.
• Experience in Facility Management (FM), focusing on operational efficiency, preventive maintenance, and adherence to safety and compliance standards.
• Technical proficiency with fire alarm panels, detectors, control modules, communication protocols, and relevant industry standards and codes.
• Diploma or degree in Electrical, Electronics, Instrumentation, or related engineering discipline.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, schematics, and system layouts.
• Strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and capability to work independently on-site.
• Effective communication and collaboration skills for working with cross-functional teams and clients.
• Prior experience in ELV systems, IBMS, or data center environments is an advantage.
• Willingness to work flexible hours for emergency support and site requirements.

Candidate Profile

• Diploma / B.Tech / BE in Electrical, Electronics, Instrumentation or related discipline
• 3–7 years of relevant experience in FAS and BMS
• Hands-on experience with leading FAS & BMS OEM platforms
• Strong knowledge of configuration, programming, integration and troubleshooting
• Knowledge of BACnet, Modbus and other standard BMS communication protocols preferred
• Good site coordination and problem-solving skills
• OEM certification/training will be an added advantage
