Fireman

The Fireman will be responsible for ensuring fire safety, responding to emergencies, conducting outline inspections, and maintaining firefighting equipment in a high-rise mixed-use building. The role demands vigilance, quick response to fire incidents, and coordination with emergency services when needed.

Required Qualifications

• Education - 2 years ITI or 3 years Diploma
• Experience - 3 to 5 years of experience in firefighting, fire safety, or a similar role.

Key Responsibilities:

Key responsibilities of Fireman include below but not limited to:

Fire Safety & Prevention:

• Conduct regular fire safety inspections in the building.
• Ensure all firefighting equipment (fire extinguishers, sprinklers, hose reels, hydrants, etc.) are functional and regularly serviced.
• Monitor and enforce fire safety protocols as per building regulations and fire codes.
• Conduct fire drills and training sessions for building occupants and staff.

Emergency Response:

• Act as the first responder to fire alarms and emergencies.
• Operate and maintain firefighting systems in case of a fire breakout.
• Assist in evacuation procedures and ensure occupant’s safety.
• Coordinate with local fire departments and emergency responders.

Equipment Maintenance:

• Inspect and maintain fire safety equipment and systems.
• Report any malfunction or requirement for repairs in a timely manner.
• Maintain logs and records of fire safety checks, drills, and incidents.

Compliance & Documentation:

• Ensure adherence to fire safety regulations and building safety standards.
• Keep records of safety inspections, incident reports, and training sessions.
• Assist in preparing and updating fire safety plans for the building.
