Job summary

Cosmic Uplift is seeking an FP&A / Business Finance professional to drive financial planning, performance analysis, forecasting and business insights for our fast-growing e-commerce business.

You will own P&L and Balance Sheet for the unit, partner with Accounting for monthly closure, perform variance analysis, and build dashboards and rolling forecasts to support budgeting and strategic decisions with the CFO and leadership team.

Qualifications

• CA or equivalent qualification required.
• 3+ years of FP&A, business finance, or financial reporting.
• Strong knowledge of P&L and Balance Sheet.
• Advanced Excel, MIS, dashboards, and financial modelling.
• Excellent analytical and communication skills.
• Hands-on budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis.

Responsibilities

About the Role

We are hiring for our client, a fast-growing e-commerce business, for an FP&A / Business Finance professional to drive financial planning, performance analysis, forecasting, and business insights.

Key Responsibilities

• Own monthly P&L and Balance Sheet for the assigned business/unit.
• Partner with Accounting for monthly closure and ensure financial accuracy.
• Drive Actual vs. Budget vs. Forecast variance analysis and identify key business drivers.
• Analyse revenue, costs, margins, and profitability trends.
• Build and maintain MIS, dashboards, financial models, and rolling forecasts.
• Support annual budgeting and periodic re-forecasting.
• Work closely with Business and Operations teams to understand financial and operational drivers.
• Present key insights, risks, and recommendations to the CFO and leadership team.

Must-Have

• CA / equivalent qualification.
• 3+ years of experience in FP&A, Business Finance, or Financial Reporting.
• Strong understanding of P&L and Balance Sheet.
• Advanced Excel, MIS, dashboarding, and financial modelling skills.
• Strong analytical and communication skills.
• Hands-on experience in budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis.

Preferred

• Experience in E-commerce, D2C, Retail, or Consumer businesses.
