Job summary

Cosmic Uplift in Bengaluru, India, seeks an FP&A/Business Finance professional to drive financial planning, performance analysis, forecasting, and business insights for its fast-growing e-commerce business.

You will own monthly P&L and Balance Sheet for the unit, partner with accounting for monthly closure, and build dashboards and financial models to support budgeting and rolling forecasts. This role requires 3+ years in FP&A and strong analytical,Excel and communication skills.

Qualifications

• CA or equivalent professional qualification.
• 3+ years of FP&A or financial reporting experience.
• Solid understanding of P&L and Balance Sheet.
• Proficient in Excel, MIS, dashboards and financial modelling.
• Strong analytical and communication abilities.
• Hands-on budgeting, forecasting and variance analysis experience.

Responsibilities

• Own monthly P&L and Balance Sheet for the assigned business unit.

• Analyze Actual vs Budget vs Forecast to identify drivers.
• Analyse revenue, costs, margins and profitability trends.

• Present insights, risks and recommendations to CFO and leadership.

About the Role

We are hiring for our client, a fast-growing e-commerce business, for an FP&A / Business Finance professional to drive financial planning, performance analysis, forecasting, and business insights.

Key Responsibilities

• Own monthly P&L and Balance Sheet for the assigned business/unit.
• Partner with Accounting for monthly closure and ensure financial accuracy.
• Drive Actual vs. Budget vs. Forecast variance analysis and identify key business drivers.
• Analyse revenue, costs, margins, and profitability trends.
• Build and maintain MIS, dashboards, financial models, and rolling forecasts.
• Support annual budgeting and periodic re-forecasting.
• Work closely with Business and Operations teams to understand financial and operational drivers.
• Present key insights, risks, and recommendations to the CFO and leadership team.

Must-Have

• CA / equivalent qualification.
• 3+ years of experience in FP&A, Business Finance, or Financial Reporting.
• Strong understanding of P&L and Balance Sheet.
• Advanced Excel, MIS, dashboarding, and financial modelling skills.
• Strong analytical and communication skills.
• Hands-on experience in budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis.

Preferred

• Experience in E-commerce, D2C, Retail, or Consumer businesses.
