Job summary

Ankura Hospital in Hyderabad is seeking a compassionate Patient Counsellor to explain IVF treatment packages, counsel patients and families on affordability, prepare cost estimates, and coordinate with doctors, billing and finance teams.

The role requires good communication in English, Hindi and Telugu, basic computer skills, and empathy with strong documentation and follow-up abilities to guide treatment decisions and payments. Experience in hospital counselling is preferred.

Qualifications

• Experience in hospital counselling, IVF counselling or patient coordination is preferred.
• Good communication skills in English, Hindi and Telugu.
• Basic computer knowledge, Excel and patient management software.
• Empathy, negotiation, follow-up and documentation skills.

Responsibilities

• Explain IVF treatment packages, including consultation, investigations, medications, procedures and additional charges.
• Counsel patients and their families about treatment affordability.
• Prepare cost estimates and explain package inclusions and exclusions.
• Coordinate with doctors, patient coordinators, billing teams and finance departments.
• Follow up with patients regarding payment plans and treatment decisions.
• Maintain accurate patient counselling records and follow patient confidentiality policies.
• Help patients understand the financial implications of additional procedures, such as ICSI, embryo freezing and frozen embryo transfer (FET).
