Job summary

Akraya is seeking a Cash Applications Specialist in Chennai to accurately process inbound customer payments—lockbox reports, manual checks, wires, and ACH deposits—and ensure postings are timely and correct.

You will also handle customer refund requests, research payment inquiries, and reconcile cash-related general ledger accounts, coordinating with banks, processors, and internal teams to uphold data integrity.

Job Summary: This role is responsible for accurately processing various forms of incoming customer payments, including lockbox reports, manual checks, wires, and ACH deposits. You will also manage customer refund requests, research payment inquiries, and reconcile general ledger accounts related to cash application. The position requires daily interaction with banks, processors, and internal teams to ensure timely and precise cash application.
