Job description

Role Overview:
  • In this role, you will lead transformation initiatives across Record to Report (RTR), Procure to Pay (P2P), Finance Planning & Analysis (FP&A) or Order to Cash (O2C), with expertise in at least two towers. You will partner with senior client stakeholders, translate business challenges into transformation roadmaps, and deliver measurable outcomes through process redesign, technology enablement, and strong governance.
  • You will manage medium-sized, cross-functional teams and will play a pivotal role in stakeholder leadership, project governance, risk management, and multi-country delivery programs. The role demands strong executive presence, analytical problem-solving, and proven experience in managing transformation programs of scale.
Core Responsibilities
Transformation Leadership
  • Act as a subject matter expert in at least two finance towers (RTR, P2P, O2C, FP&A) within client-specific business contexts.
  • Analyze processes, identify gaps, and redesign workflows aligned to DGEM / global standards.
  • Drive digitalization through automation, analytics dashboards, AI/ML models, workflow tools, and ERP enhancements.
  • Lead discovery, solution design, TOM definition, pilot deployment, and full rollouts.
  • Build business cases, quantify benefits, and provide insights using analytical and financial models.
  • Ensure alignment with finance controls, risk frameworks, compliance, and audit requirements.
  • Stakeholder & Leadership Competencies (Integrated from D1/D2 Engagement Manager Baseline)

  • Build trusted relationships with global and regional stakeholders; maintain high credibility.
  • Communicate finance and technology topics in simple business language.
  • Influence decision-making in ambiguous environments using structured analysis and data-backed recommendations.
  • Establish governance forums and ensure consistent stakeholder engagement across geographies.
2. Executive Communication & Presence
  • Deliver crisp, insight-driven updates for CXO and senior leadership audiences.
  • Escalate risks and decisions with context, clarity, and recommended options.
  • Drive alignment using storytelling, structured messaging, and visual clarity.
  • Defend delivery decisions confidently while maintaining collaboration and partnership.
3. Problem Solving & Critical Thinking
  • Anticipate downstream financial, operational, and compliance impacts.
  • Consolidate multiple issues from various workstreams into a clear, actionable narrative.
  • Identify risks early and design mitigation and contingency strategies.
  • Make decisions guided by data, scenario modelling, and dependency mapping.
4. Leadership & Team Empowerment
  • Lead diverse, cross-cultural delivery teams with minimal supervision.
  • Delegate effectively while maintaining oversight on critical-path activities.
  • Coach and support teams during high-pressure phases such as cutover, UAT crunch, period close, and year-end cycles.
  • Foster high morale, collaboration, and accountability.
5. Conflict & Change Management
  • Handle escalations with calm, objectivity, and solution orientation.
  • Mediate conflicts between business, IT, vendors, and implementation partners.
  • Prevent scope creep using disciplined governance, change control, and structured communication.
End-to-End Project & Program Governance (Based on role demand)
1.Program Governance
  • Own delivery across initiation design build testing cutover hypercare closure.
  • Define governance structures, RAID processes, reporting cadences, and project plans.
  • Ensure deliverables meet quality, time, cost, scope, and compliance expectations.
2. Risk, Issue & Dependency Management
  • Build a strong risk management framework with identification, assessment, and prioritization.
  • Maintain risk logs including probability, impact, mitigation, contingency triggers, and ownership.
  • Integrate risks/issues with change requests for complete traceability, Escalate based on severity, missed deadlines, or business impact.
3. Global Rollout & Multi-Country Delivery
  • Experience leading multi-country rollouts in RTR, PTP, OTC, Cash & Banking, or FP&A.
  • Manage staggered deployments, time-zone overlaps, and hyper-care cycles.
  • Ensure deployment readiness through checklists, data validation, cutover planning, and KT plans.
  • Project Management Methodologies
Waterfall Delivery
  • Create detailed project plans, WBS, critical paths, and baselines.
  • Manage dependencies across Finance, Data, Integration, Testing, and Technology workstreams.
  • Ensure documentation, sign-offs, and stage-gate compliance.
Agile Delivery (where applicable in Finance)
  • Partner with Product Owners for backlog creation, prioritization, and sprint planning.
  • Translate finance requirements into user stories with clear acceptance criteria.
  • Manage sprint reviews, velocity tracking, and impediment resolution.
  • Educate finance teams on agile roles and ceremonies.
Hybrid Delivery
  • Apply agile for design/build and waterfall for data migration, cutover, and compliance stages.
  • Maintain dual governance and traceability from user stories design test readiness.
People Management Responsibilities
  • Lead teams of 1020+ members depending on scope; manage performance, coaching, and development.
  • Support learning and certification plans, including domain, digital, and PM skills.
  • Manage resource planning, utilization, and workforce forecasting for transformation programs.
Qualifications (Education / Experience / Certification)
  • Bachelor’s degree in Commerce / Finance / Accounting; MBA-Finance, ACCA, CPA, CMA, or CIMA preferred.
  • 15–18 years of overall experience in finance transformation or related domains. Exceptional candidates from top consulting firms or premier institutes may be considered even with fewer years, if they demonstrate strong transformation expertise and leadership capability.
  • 7–10 years of people management experience in transformation or F&A operations.
  • Expertise in two or more towers: RTR, PTP, OTC (mandatory).
